Vacationing in Delaware, looking for brews I've never tried. One out of the way liquor store had CASES of Schlafly Tasmanian IPA but freshest date was 12/14. Couldn't find this one anywhere else in the area. Really want to try it but the age of the stuff turned me off and so moved on. Go back and get it or keep looking?

Move on. That beer is a seasonal release and you wont find it any fresher than that.

You'll still find scheisters trying to trade 6 month old Hopslam and try the old "well I think it is drinking really good still". No, It's not. Like at all.

Depends on how many $$ your are willing to waste if it turns out you don't enjoy the beer.

Some beers I would say go for it, but that one is a hard pass that old. Fresh it's great though!

This beer falls off dramatically at the 30-35 day mark. TIPA is one of my favorites, but it's a shell of it's former self, even at 2 months old unfortunately. I imagine it will be completely lifeless at 8 months.
