mike, ive been biting my tongue, but i couldnt agree more. one person does not encapsulate swtfyw, the forums, ba in general, etc., so 1 person doesnt change how i feel about a group. i think the saying goes "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts." none of us are perfect. as with any friendship or relationship, neither is perfect, but you might be perfect together.

that said, i know seth has done some self reflecting soul searching recently, which initiated right around the time of dustins bday. i cant say i remember exactly when, although it wasnt too far off. im sure we have all had moments where we dont agree with each other, others views, comments. thats been showcased as recently as yesterday. youre welcome.

i also dont think dirty laundry that didnt involve the vast majority of people in this thread should be aired for everyone to read. dont forget the entire site has access to read this, so tarnishing someones reputation and dragging someone through the mud just isnt right. if you have an issue that is that deep, address it with that person directly. both sides will be better because of it, which could make for a lasting relationship.

finally, many have said "its just beer" or "drink a beer" when situations go awry; well, its much more than that here. its people that represent the avatars here over these here interwebs. ive heard words or phrases like "family" and "brother" and "lymi" tossed around here. do you run away from your family or intentionally hurt your brother or treat people you love disrespectfully? if swtfyw was a 3 month bif, then i would understand saying its only beer. i feel swtfyw has grown to be bigger than that. extreme? maybe, but i think you get the point.

Hey I'm not picking sides or trying to curb things one way or another but there is a bigger history only Seth and a few other people know here. In the end our brother needs this from a ba of this status. Not to exclude but embrace and help. I have my opinions personally but I'm not about to abandon human perseverance and spirit! 007 was welcome back with open arms and those who disagreed, agreed it was for the best of the group to let it play out. Let this play out naturally and let's not let it divide us but support both our brothers!

Worst case is both bail and I don't think anyone wants that!

    Yeah, I prefer no bailing.

Although I find the Slack thing fun, I feel regret that we're split into a couple camps now. This thread is where it started, and this is where we can continue conversations. I kinda wish we were all back here again. Even though it became a HUGE pain in the ass to keep up at one point.

I start a new job on the 24th (data/IT). Since I put in my 2 weeks notice, there have been a series of pranks which are getting progressively epic. I have the upper hand by far at this point, but I fear that combined resources from my co-workers may lead to me losing this war. I am looking for suggestions for the most (affordable) EPIC prank with which I could end/win this war the day I walk out of here. I figured I would give you guys an opportunity to weigh in. I am all ears. Also, the elephant in the cubicle is out of my price range. Thanks in advance.

Stripper grams are hilarious. Especially if you don't let the stripper in on the joke.

My last two pranks were: 1) closing a cubicle area with a fourth wall and filling the square with packing peanuts to the top (it hels that we work in a mailroom. 2) We have to park 1/4 mile from our office and I filled my coworker's truck bed with USPS mail tubs, which are illegal to transport without proper license. So he had to not only get them out of his truck, but transport them back to the office.

The kid that I'm training to take my place has been asking for it. Our phones are easily tansferable to any other Boeing extension. I am thinking about forwarding all his phone calls to Boeing's CEO the day I leave.

I did threaten to shit on my desk when I leave, though I wouldn't really do it. Although, I do have a cat...

@Houser I like the bang idea. You can throw this FIB's name in that pile.

@Tertullian007 congrats on the new gig! Hopefully none of what Houser posted end up happening to you.

I was going to suggest packing peanuts in the overhead bins of someones cubicle, but you already went one better.
Some stupid harmless crap I've done over the years--
I'm often the last one in the office. Before I leave, I'll go in someone's desk and hook all the paper clips together in a chain and put them back.
Every night for about 2 weeks straight, I'd take all but 3 or 4 staples out of a guys stapler.
When I was on night shift, we'd go out around 4am to a deli for sandwiches. Every once in a while I'd order extra onions, and then put them in somebody's wastebasket underneath the liner so they would smell them all day and not be able to find them.

Just hide some dead fish all over the work area. Inside the ceiling panels, taped to the bottom of their desk etc
