Everyone is better than Angel City.

Yeah, Angel City is a pretty low, low standard to judge a brewery on.

Well, ITB hasn't opened yet. So the days when Angel city being the worst may soon be over. I mean, having a head brewer, even if it's Jon Carpenter, is still better than having NO head brewer at all.

But you guys, Angel City just released 2 Srirachelada beers - original and spicy.

Aaaaaaaaand, I bought both of them to try...

I have been 3 times and the beer has been noticeably better each time. Oh and +1 for The Patsy on nitro.

No avocados in it = No care. Actually, even with them, I'd probably still wont care. How that place gets a line when they have the avocado thing I will never figure out. But damn if that's not a pretty space.

I thought the beer they made with the Sake yeast was pretty good. Nothing to go bonkers over, but something good to drink that was different enough.

I love that space, I go there just to have the environment. Unfortunately, the beer is a different story.

As far as their Sriracha beers are concerned, I saw them, and I felt they were $2 more than I wanted to spend on an Angel City beer, so they remained on the shelf.

No way mumford is better than Angel City

    went there a week ago

their Experimental Hop beer tasted and smelled like burned rubber

the other beers had a distinct tap water chlorine taste

Angel city might not be top notch but their beers are drinkable.

Well the brewer at Mumford told me he was disappointed with that experimental hop beer. It was definitely smokey.

Some brewery recently released a lobster beer, so it's just a matter of time.

I missed out on that one unfortunately. It was definitely on my "must try" list too.

I thought that tasted pretty damn good and tasted exactly like a California roll in beer form. You could taste the rice, the crab and even a bit of sweetness from the avocado honey they used.

After you're done puking that Angel city garbage beers, you can go over to far bar and enjoy a Japanese Wasabi beer.
