Yeah. Everything else has tasted fine. I routinely crush Eddy Fitz, and went through another case of Chillwave this year. Had some Dort and Eliott since the new labels too. I didn't care for Monster this year, but that is all me. The Oktoberfest is the only one I have had any issue with. Going to grab another 6 from a different store for science.

Speaking of GL, I see they have an oatmeal stout label for this winter. Has it been on tap before, or new brew?

 

All I'm saying is that I know I'm not alone in thinking GLBC has fallen off a bit over the years. I'm not saying you have to agree with me and I don't want you to agree either unless you feel the same. In short, I have no right to tell you that you are wrong about a beer based on my opinions and vice versa so I wouldn't expect you to either. However, some people here feel the need to make sure everyone knows that their opinions trump everyone else and nobody is allowed to think differently. Not sure how anyone can enjoy a hobby such as craft beer with an attitude like that.

 

This beer has been draft only in the past.

Edit: By on topic, I mean new to Ohio. If you want to debate whether the beer is good/different from last year/etc, make a new thread.

 

Here's some help with that brand new to OH. Tapping tomorrow at Urban Artifact, Fuzzy Logic, tart dark ale as they describe it.

 

Anyone spot Pirate Noir or Neptune in Cleveland yet? Grabbed a Prairie Hop which was really solid. A little steep on the price for what it is but I enjoyed it and I typically don't go for Belgium brews.

 

World of Beer Brewery District had some left one week ago.

 

Speaking of World of Beer, I saw the Easton location just added a new food menu. Anyone tried anything?

Also, anyone aware of some Ayinger Marzens around central OH?

 

The world of beer was at least pretty good. I brought my 3 kids 5 years old and younger. The chimay burger was good. So was the pesto chicken.

 

The roller blabe release went pretty well. I got my 12 cans. They had 2 kegs out the first half hour so you could either drink the blabe from the cans or musk and south of eleven on tap, eventually got down to only south of 11 on tap. I heard they tapped crossing swords later.

 

Mike should have some in the next week or so. I know as soon as he has any out, I'll be getting at least a couple.

 

Not to beat a dead horse, but I'm going to. I bought one four pack of Chillwave this year and was not impressed. Had it on tap and got a keg of it for a party and it blew me away as it has since they first released it. I had a couple bottles of Lake Erie Monster this year and thought it was pretty solid. BA Blackout is a different story. Two of my friends, who I believe split a case, each offered up a 2015 while hanging out within the last couple months and both were incredibly infected. Just from the crack, or lack thereof, something seemed off. The aroma smelled horrible and the taste followed suit. I've had multiple years of BA Blackout over the past year and it's always been great. Not sure if it was improper storing or what. I think I have a couple bottles left from the same case so I might have to try it again. Anyone else have any issues with this year's BA Blackout?

 

I had BA Blackout 2015 on tap last weekend. It was fantastic. Last bottle I had was on July 26th. It was also fantastic.

 

Anyone seen Neptune? Anyone?

Unfortunately I'm all the way in on this Planet Series and need to finish it off.
