Don't drink AAL's. Kinda like wonder white for bread comparison.

I drink a Coors Banquet Beer every single time I'm Colorado. Oh sure, I make plenty of room for Upslope, Avery, Great Divide, River North, etc. But I always have a Banquet Beer. It's just a thing, you know? And I can always hear Sam Elliott's voice every time it's served to me.

You are not alone at all! The mistake a lot of people make is that they try and equate the scores for different styles to the score for AALs. It simply doesn't work that way. Schlitz Gusto is the TOP RATED AAL on this site Top Rated Beers: American Adjunct Lager That puts it squarely in league with any other top beer!

If the Whopper was the top rated chain fast food burger on BurgerAdvocate, would that put it squarely in league with any other top burger, such as a one of a kind gourmet burger by a specialty burger pub/restaurant?

Had Naragansett Lager for the first time over the weekend and it is by far the best AAL I've ever had. At $6 a sixer I will definitely be stocking the fridge with it from time to time

I don't know about Miller Coors but I have taken 2 Ab-INBEV tours not a single drop is spilled. You are right Boston Lager is not an AAL. It's a much better brew than any AAL.

They are how most of us started and subsequently moved beyond. I still think fondly of my first car (used '62 impala with a 283), but that doesn't make we want to drive it again. Just sayin...

I "started" with AAL's like most of you, and still go back to them if my budget doesn't allow for $10+ a six pack prices. I'm not one to entirely deviate from my roots and pretend to be somebody I'm not. Both craft and macro's have pros and cons. I like to think of it as formats of music : AAL's are CD's and Craft are LP's. Yes, one looks and sounds better, but sometimes you don't want to pay $30 for one album on vinyl.
