there is an unopened,
until now forgotten about,
three year old bottle of Samuel Smiths Imperial Stout
somewhere in my home
hmmmmmm?

 

I found my tasting notes
so I did drink it :/

(I got mixed up & bought it thinking it was something to do with @cavedave )
but no, the bottle says Mexico
but on BA says Chili Beer Co.

It has a St. Peters bottle cap

 

McEwan's 80/- rebadged & extra hopped
Rusty reddish body off white head with nearly full coverage
Copper, candy floss & grain on the aroma
The flavour or lack imagine a fruit tea that's beer flavoured & served cool in a cup that hasn't been rinsed properly of soap that is what the stewed under powered hops do
it's solid on mf
this is not a step forward

 

Bottle of Harbour Amber Ale
best aroma from an ale I've encountered in ages

 

I'm going to have to see if I can swing by through Levenshulme over the next couple of days then

Harbour Pilsner
I can see why Cornwall's brewers make these
to try & get some trade from lobster coloured big brand drinkers
fair enough Sharpe's Cornish Pilsner & St. Austell's Korev
were more Czech Budvar than Anheuser-Busch Budweiser
but still quite dull & pedestrian
This a bit more Hacker-Pschorr Munchner
mixed with good clean Cornish sea air.
