My question wasn't spawned directly from what you said but I quoted you because you are absolutely correct. People have different opinions of things and why can't that just be enough?

Hear, hear. This idea that there's some Socratic ideal of an IPA - or any beer - is ridiculous & causes people to waste a lot of time.

That's not how beer works. You have to taste the hype or you aren't doing it right

Like I said before, Budweiser is "expertly crafted" as well. That doesn't make it good.

Two Hearted is a clear step or 2 below the rest mentioned above but still a solid value choice. I just bought some cans a few weeks ago and forgot how good it was.

@shuggy can you show me how to use MS paint to craft an avatar? I'm a huge fan of the clip art.

To get past the censors - have folks had fire on the hill and time machine from grist house? Their beer has turned a corner and is really nice at this point.

I've never had anything from them but the minute they released that one, they were getting pretty good reviews as I recall.

Anyone know who sells Utopias in the area? Cheapest I've seen was $350 a bottle. That's a touch too expensive.

I had Fire on the Hill and Time Machine a few months ago. I hated them, but to be fair I should give them another chance to see if they have improved.

I had the fire one. I found it drinkable and standard. People kinda dump on them, but I perceive their beers as pretty middle of the road.

If someone said Atrial was just meh and there's much better out there, would you question there judgement even silently? There is no list, but I am not to afraid to question anyone who speaks with an air of authority of any subject wether it be on this site or others. Also, how did reviewing tree house beers come up in the PGH thread and not get it nuked?

It would depend on who the person was but generally no, I wouldn't question their judgement. Mostly because I just don't care what anybody else likes/dislikes and partly because I'm well aware that my palate is not inline with the majority here.

    'Cause it's hot like fire?

    Was like $6.50+ tax.

People are drinking mediocre beers on a Thu and I wasn't invited? This is an outrage!

If this was just a thread about Pittsburgh beer it would be about 3 pages long and would have died out several months ago

It was. 20 and change after tax. Was reasonably pleased with that price.
