For those wondering about the Roundabout Jacked Up O-Lantern, Steve said he doesn't plan to have it on draft until October.

I'm curious about your recent interest in the goings on around here being that you don't live in the area, frequent the area, and thus are unable to provide any input that pertains to our little slice of beer heaven. What gives?

Speaking of homebrewing: Anybody have a stir plate they can do without for a couple weeks in the not too distant future?

Any time a local brewery can and wants to barrel age a stout, they come out better than Dragons Milk almost every time. Availability and Price, well, those are different stories with the current state of the Beer Union here.

I can't think of one that has been on par with Dragon's Milk.

Dragon's Milk, while it isn't amazing, is a very good year round BB Stout. No it doesn't have the complexity of the seasonal releases but it has good bourbon flavor and a decently balanced stout body.

One from BG was solid and is getting better with age but it isn't on par with Dragon's Milk. Next year, we might have a different story

curious which ones you were thinking. Only ones I can think of that I've had are ee homewood reserve, grist house, and full pint rye rebellion. I find dragons milk much better than those.

Full Pint, 4 Seasons did one, EE HW, and Voodoo (understand not really local). Any fatheads BA stout (i get it, rare). Its cool to differ though, Dragons is still good cigar beer its just not my taste.

I have a soft spot for Rivertown's Anny stout BA too but I think that was a one off

You named one local brewery and one that is close enough (Full Pint). I don't really consider those local options.

Agree on the second part of your sentence.

I do...and I'm in Butler (Cranberry)...it's a homemade plate and you definitely have to fiddle with the location of your glass above a bit...but you're more than welcome to use it if you need it.

I guess you want it to be brewed right off the rivers then

Does seem like a pretty reasonable deal.

Even though they will be terrible, I really want those Frank Zappa Lagunitas bottles :slight_frown:
