Yeah I tend to go to Lavery a lot, awesome guys up there. I haven't been to Brewerie too many times recently but they just had a changing of the guard and they are improving a ton from what it was like before (which was more, restaurant that happens to make beer) now they are more beer focused but still solid food and a fun atmosphere.

I wish they would just do what some other breweries do and put the beer in barrels for 2 weeks and then let us have it....wait, no I don't.....

What kind of business did you have in my town....just kidding about it being my town, I only moved here 5 years ago

@tommyguz I had a meeting at Meadville Medical Center. I wanted to stop by Voodoo but we were out of town before 2 and they didn't open until 3.

Speaking of which...shubrew info released today...

On September 12th from 5 PM – 12 AM we will be celebrating our two year anniversary with an “old fashioned” prohibition themed party. The pub will be transformed in to a speakeasy from the roaring 1920’s and bottles of our Two Year Anniversary Ale will be for sale all night. This year’s anniversary beer stemmed from our love for Old Fashioned’s and is a Bière de Garde that was aged in Wigle Whiskey whiskey barrels with dried cherries, cocoa nibs, cinnamon and orange peel. Along with our beer and food specials release, Wigle Whiskey will have a whiskey tasting from 6 PM – 8PM. Guests are encouraged to come in 1920’s dress and the party is open to everyone!

This would actually be fun... but how do we ensure we're one of the 12 people that can actually fit inside the pub? I really dig this place, the food is pretty awesome and the beer isn't great but certainly not bad either, but it makes me feel soooo claustrophobic and anxious. I even feel bad going to the bathroom there walking through those super tight tables in the back...

I only had their Tillie's Ghillies and though it pretty mediocre. Just a bad release or is anything worth seeking out from them otherwise?

I stumbled upon Big Secret Pizza Party the same way, saw 2 untappd check ins and demanded that someone down there give me a glass of it since I am there almost every friday.

Honestly, I don't know who brewed that beer but it could not have been @voodoobrewery bc that was unlike anything I have had from them. It could even be a local IPA that @shuggy could love. It's that good imho.

I actually like the idea of a Manhattan style beer. Sounds cool

They may not do flights or growlers at the brunch but will they let me lay under the tap and pour it directly into my mouth? Failing that, will they infuse some syrup with it to be poured on top of some chicken and waffles?

AND THEY FREQUENTLY POST IN ALL CAPS WHICH IS SUPER ANNOYING

And often in hyperbolic fashion: #FirstEverInPittsburgh even though a couple other bars have had the beer/brewery previously. I like the place, but had to block on Twitter because it's usually just cryptic hashtag soup, the likes of which Turing couldn't crack.

Should I assume this will exclusively go to Shadyside and Robinson, or are other GEs getting it as well?
