No go at Market Express in McMurray--they had 12 packs of Fat Tire, but nothing else. Wanted to do a fly by of South Hills Market District, but ran out of time; maybe they have the bombers.

It's in our ad for next month, so it should be at all stores. That's all that I know

Oh. Admittedly, I skim when reading/listening sometimes. Thanks for sharing the inside scoop.

Rampant is actually available everywhere, not exclusively Giant Eagle.

And its the cheapest bomber I've ever seen...not including malt liquor.

I would prefer the malt liquor.

Stopped by Bocktown for a tasting last evening - they were featuring local new & new-ish brewers (& a cidery, & a tea brewer).
Draai Laag's Extra Special Critters was cool, fairly simple but with a kind of kombucha character to it. Blue Canoe had a nitro peach habanero stout, which had this terrific mocha smell but was drowned in heat in the flavor. And 4 Brothers in New Brighton had a smoked porter that was insanely phenolic & honestly pretty difficult to finish.

Also, I don't know if anyone's mentioned this, but Chris Brunetti's in the process of opening Helicon Brewing in Oakdale. Sounds like it'll be a 15 bbl system & will have a sizable tasting room with bombers to go.

Never been to this place but this could be good for my liver:

Make plans to cut out of work early on Friday, September 11, because the Founders crew will be kicking off Big Pour weekend at Bocktown Robinson.

Puchase a draft of 2105 KBS to be entered to win a vertical 4 pack of KBS containing a bottle of 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. Even if you don’t win the grand prize, your taste buds will thank you!

Haha, I was thinking the same thing. I think he is from T.R.A.S.H.

Anyone familiar with his "tendencies" as a brewer? Style preferences, etc... ?

Is the beer flyer posted online anywhere ever?
Or just on the white signs in the actual store?

He's pretty active in T.R.A.S.H. & generally a familiar face in the "scene". I wouldn't be surprised if folks did or didn't know him.

Random - I looked at his house when we were house shopping. He had a ridiculously nice and large system in the basement for a homebrewer; figured he was a pro at the time.

Snallygaster beer fest in DC is where I will be. Some serious stuff being poured there.

    I don't believe so...not that I can recall...

EDIT: not sure how updated they keep their site, but I don't see a kids menu here: http://www.bluedustpgh.com/menu.html
