Been away on vacation, and what a treat to come back to (if this held up). More than anything, congratulations to you and your family!

 

Just got back from Arizona, Scottsdale area. We met up with bro/sister in law and hung out for the week to celebrate my wife's birthday. I happened to read the BA article on Arizona Wilderness Brewing before I left, and we made the short drive down. Beers were solid, and a great time had by all. No bottling or crowlers, so I didn't get to take anything home, but I highly recommend the trip over if you are anywhere near it.

They just had their 2 year anniversary party and even had BA presidential on... Pappy, buff trace and four roses barrel aged imperial stout, need I say more? Oh yeah, watermelon gose... That was crazy as well. Next time you are here, reach out

 

Oh man... congrats, @Houser. As insane as your life is about to become (again), there's nothing like having a tiny mini-me in the house. You guys done good.

 

Maybe my in-laws will get their flights re-routed to Manitoba or something and I'll be free that weekend. It would be perfect, because I could just swish by Selin's Grove on my way down. But alas... in-laws.

 

Okay, going for the SWTFYW post hat trick. What a pleasure to see Mr. and Mrs. @zekeman17 again last night. They were nice and cool on the deck at one of my favorite local breweries while I sweated my balls off inside whacking on my bass guitar. Sorry you had to go so soon, Jeff. You missed the band's debut of Clapton's Cocaine. Drunk dude offered us $20 if we played it, so we did. Then he gave us $20 more and said "again!" So we played it again. And again and again, racking up $100 in tips from the one (tipsy) dude. Each version was a different genre, at least: rock, funk, polka, etc.

How's everybody feeling?

 

This is pretty awesome. I'd be very interested in hearing how that song sounds in those other genres.

 

I recorded it on my iPhone. Once Cocaine was out of the bag (so to speak) things got pretty weird. We did the Freedom Rock commercial, and some Public Enemy. All tunes had Cocaine teases, of course.

I was there on Thursday, and I think the party was Friday? There was no way due to other obligations, but I really wanted to hit it. The Reuben burger was amazing, too.

I'll be out there next week, Sedona, Grand Canyon, Flagstaff and Prescott on the itinerary. Vacation with the wife, early celebration of my 50th. We don't plan to be in the Phoenix area other than the airport so I haven't reached out, but if you find yourself with a reason to be up north...
