When the hell did Hardywood start showing up here? Did I miss that?

I would say within the past year or so, there has been a SIGNIFICANT increase in the quality of distributed beers here. Deschutes, Alpine, Bullfrog, New Belgium, Springhouse, Hardywood (?)...I'm sure I'm missing more. Granted quantity might be limited or whatever...but I hope it keeps up at this pace...

I'm sure there are a lot of people who are spoiled with what is available to them with trades and shares and such...but it's pretty fucking cool to see these beers on shelves finally. I feel like we're finally catching up to the rest of the country...

Never seen Hardywood around Pgh. I did see it in a handful of places out around Philly, though.

I would soil my pants and walk around for the rest of the day if / when Pittsburgh sees Bourbon County variants.

Philly doesn't count as part of PA in terms of distribution...

Well sure...but even so, the shelf quality of regularly available shit is vastly improved...

Forgot about Lost Abbey as well...

The usually Philly distro pipelines* have had it for at least a year (maybe two?). Still not...ahem...conventionally distributed here.

*definitely House, presumably Caliente, D's, & 3R6P as well

Yeah, it's pretty much night and day from when I first got into beer until now. So many options now that my pessimistic self never would have imagined here in Pittsburgh , both local brewery and shelf beer wise.

Firestone Walker is another brewery I think you can add to the list as well.

Now that Duvel Moortgat USA owns FW, they should be popping up everywhere, just like what happened with Boulevard!

I have never had anything but have been actively trying to trade for some of their stouts recently. Really wish I would have gotten to try Ruse at Snally. Sounds super good.

Maybe not, though. If we're lucky. When I first started doing this, I wouldn't have thought at all that some of the Deschutes BA stuff would be turding up shelves around Pgh. Fast forward to now and Abyss hung around a good while back in the winter and Jubel is busy turding up the shelves of several places as we speak.
