Probably the same as South Hills MD: Kriek and LA Folie $15.99 a piece.

Haven't been in awhile, but I like Proper Brick Oven. Decent tap list that's not too terribly expensive. Personally, I would steer clear of any place with Sharp Edge in the name unless you like $12 tulips of Rodenbach.

So carbonated for a 12% barleywine very slight pumpkin taste but has like an apple butter taste and a little bourbon .

Mmmmmm apple butter. Great on baked goods. Don't want it in my beer though.

I'll second that suggestion. You should see some good local choices on their tap list. If you go, be sure to try the candied bacon.

I'm not sure I'm looking for any of these out of region breweries to supplant my beloved head Hunter or anything. I'm just pumped about the potential for new beers to be constantly hitting the shelf, which will help to satiate my ticking tendencies in between cases of 2h cans.

I work downtown and the struggle is real. Your best bet IMO is Proper, Sienna Mercato, the newly opened Yard in market square, or I hear Burgatory is opening this week on the North Shore. All should have a decent tap list, but as mentioned above, you will be paying a premium.

I absolutely agree. Most people are picking up the same 3-4 beers all the time. They are looking for a six pack or two and maybe a bomber. We get KBS because of the guy who picks up a 15pk for All Day twice a week.

Wow, a positive note from you, I'm happy to read this!

While above average in price I really enjoyed my time at The Beer Market, and assume that's considered downtown. The bartenders were really courteous and there were some local beers on at least when I was there.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but here's another app for beer in pittsburgh. I wonder if they rival.

Tick it, forget it, watch it turd up the shelves. Rinse, lather, repeat.

I'm actually hoping for something to usurp HH as my go to. Shit's expensive.

That's unfortunate. I just got one from one of my regular traders in Cali. Was really looking forward to it.

We also seemed to gloss over the fact that he said he enjoyed Edgar.
Honestly, I don't get much use out of either one of these. The PCBN one has a lot of random features on it - I'm generally looking for something very simple from an app. Give me one that tells me which breweries are open at any given time of day.

Sienna Mercato is my go-to downtown. Really good list and a really cool atmosphere on the rooftop.
