Guys! Why are we not talking about that potato salad!? I like the fact that they used just enough mustard to get a nice color without it tasting like a bottle of Grey Poupon. It definitely made up for not getting a bottle of Framboos.

Given that I've only seen Cantillon on the shelf at one location outside of Belgium, and that place being 2,000 miles away from where I live, I was absolutely happy to have purchased any Cantillon, so I was pleased to get a Classic Gueuze for $26. And it was closer to $50 for a 750ml of Gueuze at the aforementioned place that I saw it on the shelf. So, don't get me wrong.

In hindsight, I would have just either gone immediately to the bottle line or waited until closer to the end to get into line. It didn't make any difference either way which bottle I was able to purchase, and I didn't care about getting a bottle of Framboos or not. But waiting for 2-2.5 hours is something I'd prefer to not have done. It was still fun waiting in line with friends, though.

That being said, I'm surprised nobody's been talking about Dieu du Ciel's Solstice d'Ete aux Framboise. That beer is criminally underrated and I was happy to be able to have another taste of it on tap and to buy more bottles. I've never seen it on the shelf.

The $5 bottles of that were one of the best bargains of the list. Saw folks picking up 6 towards the end. It's damn tasty stuff.

Yep...that was a tart sunofabitch and damn was it tasty. Wish I'd bought more than one bottle.

Exactly! How do you not pick up a couple bottles of that especially at that price. That might have been me you saw getting the Sixer of it haha

This. That beer took me by surprise. Missed Zwanze, but went down to Schera's last night and enjoyed a couple of DDC's. Nordic Saison still pouring as well! Along w/ a few others, but I did by best to zero in on those two..Well worth a detour if you're heading up for Hopsmack!

That and working retail (and beer at that) I would say cash is faster regardless but certainly in that situation

They had tax included in the price which made making chance much faster. I had cash and was paid and off before the person behind got his bottles ready to pay.

I didn't even know credit card processors would still process the imprinted slips, let alone handwritten ones. I can see how the line took so long with the added time to take all of that information manually.
