No. I had had a few others that did me in prior.

Grab some Double Duckpin. It's very sticky-resinous so if you like that flavor profile, it's up your alley.

There is a good bottle shop in Frederick, Ye Olde Spirit Shop, that isn't too far off 70 - http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/4572/

There is also one in Mt Airy that is just right off exit 68 (15 mins or so past Frederick on 70). Last time I was there, they had some nice stuff, including Tilquin Gueuze, lots of Jolly Pumpkin, and some other goodies.

About 6 or so miles from Annapolis on Route 2, there is a good bottle shop called Fish Paws. Another few miles up the road, there is Dawson's. Dawson's may have a slightly better selection, but they are slightly more expensive.

The last batch of Double Duckpin that was released is probably on it's last legs. However, a local brewery just released their newly canned IPA that is very solid. Even Shuggy liked it, I think:

And this is distributed to Annapolis?

Yes, believe it made it to the Western Shore.

Even if it's on its last legs, Double Duckpin is worth snagging a 6er of. It's one of the two or three best hoppy beers brewed in this state (not exactly saying much there...but it's really good)

Thanks, I'll look for it. Had the Duckpin in Deep Creek before, and it was fine for a boat beer, but was told that Double Duckpin was much better.

I really like Duckpin, especially when super-fresh. There is something to be said for a nice, moderately hoppy and balanced APA. They are really becoming extinct, as everything thinks every Pale Ale needs to be basically a session IPA or have assertive hops like an IPA.

Just had Duckpin at Snally and was very impressed.

Don't disagree, and granted the cans I had may not have been fresh.

If any yinzers are heading to the Grrrz release and would be up for a trade or something let me know!

Anyone want to do a Cannonball Run (maybe more like Tokyo Drift?) to get some Jackie O's BB Black Maple?

The Ohio forum seems to think it will be around for a month; but I highly doubt it. Need to try to figure a day to make the trip.

211 miles.. Blah. A good bit further than I thought. I'd love to have some, but I'm gonna have to punt on that drive.

    They open at 11AM....

I would be up for driving up, snagging 6 bottles, telecommuting somewhere, stay in a hotel, buying 6 bottles, driving back. If any single-dapper-neckbeards can wrangle a local I can sleep on their couch to save on hotel costs.

I haven't been to that brewery yet so it's doubly fun for me. Maybe this would work better on a weekend with some golf thrown in...

@HunterPGH Out of town this weekend, otherwise I'd be game.

Then I'd definitely be in. I wouldn't object to an up and back same day trip. Gotta see what I have going on.

Apparently no distro this time around, so it should stick around the brewery for a bit.

I came through Athens on a Sunday during my move from Texas so I only got to go to the brewpub, but it was awesome and there is some nice scenery being next door to Ohio University basically.
