[QUOTE="PortLargo, post: 4067968, member: 699afgerCongrats on the medal . . . are they letting you name this beer?[/QUOTE]

Thank you! Yes, I named it HOPocalypse, but after submitting the beer, I googled HOPocalypse to see if anyone else had already used that name, and I found out that a brewery named Drake's has a double IPA named Drake's Hopocalypse, so I'm not sure if they'll use Hopocalypse or if they'll make me change it.

The brewery is called Mad Anthony's. I'm not sure yet when it will be available. I'm think it will be released closer to the holidays. If I had to guess, I'd say it will be mid November or December before the beer will be ready for release. I can post an update on here when I find out for sure. Let me know if you end up making it. If I'm free, I'll buy you a beer.

It would be mid November that I'm driving through. Looks like it would add about an hour to the travel time, but when you're doing 18 hours anyway, what's an extra hour? I'll let you know if I can convince the wife that it's a good idea. Hopefully the timing works out too

Happens to be one of top breweies on the West Coast (Aroma Coma is taken also)...so stand by for a CAD letter : )
    Congrats on the win

Is it really?! Somehow, I've never heard of it. I wouldn't be surprised to get the CAD letter. It appears to be very similar to my beer (it even has the same 9.3% ABV). Thanks!

Just had FS on TAP and I am a believer now...all bottles I have tried up to this point have been very underwhelming. Interesting because I use Munich and a touch of C-40 in a lot of my IPAs. Cheers

@CurtFromHershey @VikeMan Hey guys. Just a heads up this beer was just released at all 4 mad anthony locations this wednesday. It is pretty tasty. Dont know if any of you will be close to NE indiana in the next month or two, but i figured i should at least mention it, given that a number of you helped with the recipe.
