Which is odd since they really talked about Violet Underground when they released it in the U.K. as if they just had to scrape a couple of cases together of it for U.S. liberation.

Hey, I'll take it. I gotta keep my streak of going to all liberations going.

If anyone is thinking of buying ticket 1 and/or not maxing out, pm me. I'd be happy to purchase your extra bottles & throw in some thank you beers. Out of town that weekend otherwise I'd be going.

I keep hoping it falls into my lap. If/when I stoop to trading for it I'll hit you up.

I think I'm gonna do the same thing. Tickets should pop back up at 9:08:00. Then they'll disappear again instantly. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah I start a new job that Friday and have a Family commitment early Sunday morning so... not too many tasters for me! :slight_frown:

Just glad to finally make one. Missed ticket sales twice already.

There again with the better half. Day tripping as well but it isn't as bad from SD.

Just noticed this batch of SLOambic doesn't use olallieberries. Not sure if that will even make a difference though. While I'm happy to see Violet Underground, I am kinda disappointed to not see El Gourdo. Does anyone know if that will be this years "day after Thanksgiving" offering like Maltose was last year?

Yeah, I was confused about the whole berries being used and figured maybe too many people kept asking what the fuck an olallieberry was. Since it's a mix between a dominate blackberry and red raspberry, it did throw me off to see that the new label had it with different berries.

Then again, Olallie is Native American word for berry. So I guess it's still correct in the name. But will be interesting to try with the combination of Marionberries and Boysenberry

I'm venturing a guess that El Gourdo isn't ready for this year. Wasn't the first one a two years in the barrel?

I wish Maltose would be the day-after Thanksgiving thing (aka, a way better use of your time than hunting down BCBS) again; I know it was a one-off, but gawt-damn, what a good beer.

Had tickets in my cart and was reminded at the last minute I have to be in So Cal for a wedding the day of the Liberation. Sad faces and table flips.

El Gourdo was two years in a barrel, but when I was talking to some of the employees this summer it sounded like El Gourdo might have been close enough to be "liberated" this year. I guess if it wasn't ready for a Nov liberation, maybe whatever they have will be left in barrels until next year.

Whatevs. I'm happy to be walking away with SLOambic & Violet Underground bottles.

Agreed, but we have done it for the past 2 liberations. About 3 - 3.5hours each way.
