    Ommegang Grains of Truth

Vibrant appearance although quite hazy. Orange and with a tan head that fell spectacularly.

Fragrant. This beer uses barley, wheat oats and rye. The wheat is first to the nose it's golden sweet scent. The rye is crisp and spicy. It's very peppery but also has a delectable softer scent. A fruitiness in sweet bread.

This beer is sassy and bitter. Crisp malts are tempered by dryness. It's very hearty. Brown sugar. A succulent fruitiness as it becomes lighter on the palate because of it's flavor. It evokes fall in all it's colorful nature . The oats are a smooth slick feeling. There is a dynamic hop floral. At the very end is a bit of cheek from bitterness that shows off the hops in a brief moment.

When I tasted it I said to myself now this feels like an Ommegang beer. Well made. It's like it has a purpose. It's complete it has only one small flaw and that it the oats do gather in the finish oily I guess is the word. Simply excellent and so robust. Heartier than I have seen a beer from Ommegang. These malts have a fullness both in flavor and in finesse.

After watching this Video, I rest my conclusion...John Malkovich is still the Creepiest Man in Hollywood! Look at that Stare! I love it! You did notice John Malkovich, right?

I did notice him, yes. And while he is creepy looking, the sight of him does not cause me to soil myself. Tom Noonan may have him beat, by the way. Watch House of the Devil.

Long time no see beer geeks. I won't bore you with how busy I have been the last couple of weeks. Bottom line is, the beer has been neglected. Not today though. Albeit later than I planned due to work stuff, I am getting the hell out of here and going brewery hopping. Kicking off my last year in my 30's the right way, and starting with this 2013. Cheers!

Tom Noonan is a great actor. John Malkovich though is on another level. Watch John Malkovich being...John Malkovich. It brings that Surrealism to reality. John Malkovich blesses Motion Pictures with his Pressence..:stuck_out_tongue:

Creepier still was the child actor who played the baby in Eraserhead. I believe he went on to do most of the voiceover work for the American version of Pokemon before retiring to become a grammer school librarian somewhere in Nebraska. Obviously he didn't have the career John Malkovich had but he was creepy none the less

John Malkovich is good even in bad movies. Con Air? Rounders? He brings a confidence with him.

Whirlpool pale at the Nightshift tap room in Everett. A great beer to start or end a session with -- just all juicy hop flavor/aroma and virtually no malt anything.

Eraser Head was revolutionary Cinematography. Cheating because that was Puppeteer work and not a Human Actor. Just Sayin...

A pretty good beer for the style, but Sierra Nevada this year is still my favorite. The strange weather has made the fall colors almost nonexistent this year.
