Latest Pipeworks Releases and Updates (2018)

I bought a few bottles of Sure Bet recently. I had one when the Cubs had that hot winning streak at the end of the season. I had another one when Jake Arrieta pitched against the Pirates in the wild card game and he did great.... I was planning on drinking another one when he pitched against the Cardinals and I didn't and you know what happened.... Well I better open the last Sure Bet on Sunday if I want things to go well for Arrieta. I don't want to jinx anybody!

 

I'm with you on this one. I'll be drinking my last one today too. I've drank one for each of the playoff games with the exception of the two I went to Wrigley for and "suffered" through shitty beer

 

Are we getting closer to barrel aged pipeworks season yet? It's the dankest time of year

 

I am ready to kick myself. i didn't open the lucky Sure Bet I drink when Arrieta pitches and he gave up 3 runs in the first inning. Sorry Jake I didn't mean to mess with your juju!

 

Sure Bet stopped working for luck from my end apparently. This is digusting...Cubs are playing scared of the damn Mets

 

Well the Mets held their home court. Who likes playing in 39 degree weather anyway? Let's see... Cubbies win their next three at home and then back to New York to try to sneak a win somehow and then they go to the WS ....and to top it off PW comes up with a WS Fish series beer to honor the Cubs!

 

So, what's being released this week?

VTA is next week AFAIK.

 

I dont recall an email on friday, but the week before on the horizon said NvU, Mocha Abduction, Vanilla Abduction, Twin Pines.

 

Mocha Abduction, Twin Pines and NvU have been hitting stores today.

Close Encounters (Canned Hoppy Stout) drops next week.

I tried Twin Pines this weekend and can honestly say that it's the first spruce beer I've ever enjoyed. Fantastic work, awesome beer!

 

Will there be any Twin Pines on the shelf in Mid November? I'll be through town then, but not until.... Was hoping to pick some up.

 

Probably not. Most of their beers are smaller runs so they don't last months. That being said, you might be able to find a couple if you're willing to do some hunting.

Use beermenus. On the plus side, they will have something else fresh when you come through.

 

At least one shop I was in sold out day 1, so I would guess that the answer is no, unless Pipeworks releases a second batch. Agree with @JFresh21 though, there is ALWAYS something great coming out from PW, so whatever week you're here, you'll be fine.

 

Planning on that for sure, but big BTTF fan!
