    Had this for the first time last year.

    Right up my pumpkin ale alley! :grimacing: :rolling_eyes:

    Barrel aged imperial pumpkin ales hit a lot of marks for me...

    Big, boozy, and full of sweet holiday spice...

    Lotsa of fleshy bits in suspension!

    This, Avery's Pump[KY]n (so annoying to type :rolling_eyes:), and Almanac's Heirloom Pumpkin were the best pumpkin ales I've ever had. All barrel aged (rum, bourbon, and brandy, respectively), high abv, and plush. Rum Barrel Pumking and Greater Pumpkin (BBA) are next in line, but they lack a certain depth and feel that the others have. I know it's all a matter of taste. Immersive drinking for me for sure. Almanac told me that the Heirloom was a one-and-done, so I'm really glad to see Avery release this again. I hope I spot a 2015 Pump[KY]n (<-- :angry: <-- :stuck_out_tongue:) this year, too...

    What I've been hearing...

    Was really in the mood for a Quad tonight so had to make a beer run. A New York Quad for the World Series seemed appropriate (even though I don't care who wins - sorry Royals and Mets fans!). Beer + Baseball = Beerball!

    Sad to say, I got to enjoy exactly 3 beers in my beautiful new Grapefruit Sculpin pint glass before I managed to shatter it in the kitchen sink. Thankfully the Alexanderplatz beer stash remains intact.

    All moved in to my new place down in Albuquerque. Tomorrow's my first day at my job, so cracking something local. First time with it and I like it. Going to love having easy access to La Cumbre now. Have a Project Dank, Elevated, and Red Ryeot all waiting in the fridge for me.
