One other thing to consider: While the beer is currently out of stock, both The Beer Temple and West Lakeview Liquors will ship Pipeworks beer to you, so you might want to monitor those sites, in case they get more in.

How's the Vanilla Abduction drinking? Can never get a true gauge from checking Untappd, but trust BAers opinions (for the most part)

I love the new vanilla abduction. Lots of big vanilla. Some untappd reviews complain about not enough vanilla. I wonder if they're crazy or if it's one of those tastes certain people don't detect as much as others. I thought it was a huge vanilla bomb and loved every second of it.

I like Untappd because there's always several reviews of even obscure beers thanks to the huge user base and the ease of slapping a quick review/rating together. However, I feel that Untappd scores are much less accurate because of that same ease of use. Lots of people who are less serious about beer use it and almost none of them rate to style. Long story short, Untappd is useful to see if a beer is good or bad in a very broad sense, but I wouldn't put too much trust in the details.

Quality and trustworthiness of ratings is where BA excels, due mostly to the requirements for rating a beer. That's why that change to the site was not all bad.

Bought a Twin Pines this week and cracked it open tonight...really good. I was hesitant to buy it as I'm sometimes sensitive to pine in some beers, but this one is really smooth and doesn't have anything like that standing out.

Just arrived in Chicago and stopped at Binnys to pick up some bottles for the hotel room. Cracked a Vanilla Abduction to kick things off. Have to say, I'm disappointed. I'm a huge fan of Pipeworks but this beer is thin, lacking in vanilla and what is there tastes like subpar adjuncts. I couldn't drink more than one glass. On a brighter note, the Amarillo and Sure Bet are hitting the spot!

I actually also thought Vanilla was sup standard for PW. Very little vanilla. The worst of the abductions IMO.

I'll be up in Chicago next weekend (12th,13th,14th). What do you think will still be available at the bigger shops like Binny's Lincoln Park and Lakeview? I'm big into RIS and IIPAs.

This is correct. I typically go there on Friday after work before I pick up the kids from daycare, and I've had zero problem getting any of the current (or prior weeks') releases ever since they opened their new production facility. You should be in good shape.

Still plenty of Sure Bet's at the Binny's off Grand. Also good amount of Mocha Abduction, Vanilla Abduction, Grand Guignol, and every variety of cans they have put out. Good luck!

I hit the Binny's on Grand 3-5 times a week. Did they ever get Twin Pines? I don't think I saw it. Also, when is Square Grouper brewed? May have missed it this year.

Are they still sending their weekly emails? I haven't gotten one for 2-3 weeks now. I looked forward to those each week.

Drinking "The Royale" right now. It's the collaboration with Pub Royale. Blonde Ale with coconut, passionfruit, nutmeg and milk sugar. Freaking weird! But it actually works. I give it a thumbs up. FYI they had this in the back at the Grand Binnys. Not sure if they plan to put out on the shelves or not but I'd ask someone who works there if you don't see it. Oh and about 5-6 bottles of Sure Bet were still there around 5pm when I stopped by.

Has anyone seen any cans of Blood of the Unicorn anywhere around Chicago? I know it's a few months old; just looking for one can.
