New Colorado Breweries

Very much so. Never heard of them before and it doesn't seem like they've gotten much (if any) press beyond being on the pending CO. Brewery list. Guess I'll stop in if I'm ever in that area.

 

Cerebral Brewing
1477 Monroe St, Denver, Not far from Fiction, Alpine Dog, Vine St and Lost Highway.
I haven't been, starting line up looks as basic as it can get. But it is really close to where I work. So I'm sure I'll pop in at some point.

 

I don't think they are open yet. They were still building out last time I drove by

 

Nothing on their Facebook or home page stated specifically that they were open and no operating hours are listed. I only heard about it because my wife works with someone who knows the people opening it. Somewhere in that vague association someone believed they were open. Maybe they had friends come though for a couple beers or something.

 

I have a friend and former client from my old firm who is doing the restaurant there at the Galaxie (Chow Down, it will be called); ran into him at the gym Wednesday. His restaurant is about 3-4 months away I think he said, but he told me the brewery looks very close to opening, to him.

Yeah meant to quote Denver Beer Drinker to make that clear but somehow didn't. But apparently they are within a few days...

 

Has anyone tried the two new breweries in Estes? We were up there three or four weeks ago and wasn't aware they had two new ones there. Lumpy Ridge and Rock Cut. I did run into a newer "outdoor" beer bar while there, right on the main drag. Guess I'm way out of the loop as I haven't heard of 15 or more breweries opening in the past year or so.

 

There's a new brewery in Idaho Springs called Westbound and Down. They aren't open yet, but the space looks nice. They're located a few doors down from Beau Jo's.

 

Wonder if they'll serve a Diablo sammich and a Dr. Pepper

 

Guess that'll be a stop on way back from skiing for me.

 

I'll have to confirm as I was pretty drunk at the time, but I think the Hogshead guys are opening Westbound & Down. If I'm not completely pulling this out of my ass it should be one to keep an eye on!

Interesting. Seems they've gone all-in with the idea, although it does make me wonder what the situation will be if/when they hire someone on site.

 

Nice, I knew there was some connection. If they are consulting with Steve that should be a good thing...

 

In my morning stroll with the boy through Olde Town Arvada, I saw a sign for New Image Brewing at 5622 Yukon Street. Anybody have info on who is behind this? Checked out their FB page and looks interesting.
Two doors down, Grand Lake Brewing had a sign up that said they were closed until further notice to give the place a facelift. Odd since it hasn't even been open a year.
Guess you can always go around the corner to Arvada Beer Company as you await the opening of Kline's Beer Hall in the old D Note.

I drove through Olde Town last week, and saw a fucking brand new train station.

 

Speaking of things you see on a stroll, bunches of cars at Cerebral today. Walked up and saw that it was a private event--soft opening. Place was packed, i guess we'll all get a crack at it , soon.
