Pre-orders on the 21st, can't wait for this one...

The culmination beer in the Angel Series, Angel of Darkness, will be available for online pre-sale via Brown Paper Tickets on Saturday, November 21st at 12pm (EST). This 11% abv American sour fermented in Oloroso sherry casks on a metric ton of boysenberries, raspberries, blackberries, and cherries. Much like sour beer, Oloroso sherry (fortified wine), relies on oxidative aging and a protective pellicle to develop full, rustic flavors in these oak vessels. From initial brew to package, Angel of Darkness has aged in these amazing casks longer than any beer from our sour program, making it the perfect finale for this year-long series.

Pickup is December 11th and 12th, so right on target.

Im hoping to snag at least three. That bad boy is going to have a high trade value.

Just buy to drink. Most ww doesn't have a huge value outside of the value being the higher price tags for their stuff.

Ill hang on to one, cant hurt. You never know what some people are ISO. Most likely Ill cave in and drink it myself or break it out at a share. The Angel series is some goooood stuff and this one sounds like a worthy addition.

Price will dictate how much I get. I still don't think White Angel deserved its price.

Was pretty disappointed in both Red Angel and White Angel, but I did like Golden a lot. Definitely will hope I can get one of these somewhere along the line, but don't need 6.

IMO Wicked Weed needs to start bottle conditioning all of their sours if they want to really have their stuff regarded as comparable to the big boys around the country and even around NC. And to justify the pricetag.

I liked Red better than the Golden and White.

My biggest complaint with Wicked Weed is that they have always seemed in a rush to package and sell their beers. A tad bit more focus on aging and perfecting would go a long way.

Exactly. To me the Angel series should be the level that their regular sours are at and then the brewery-only special ones should be better than that. But that takes time.

I have not seen the pricing yet but, red, golden, white, dark arts, all their rare releases have been at that price point... $20 per 500ml bottle and there are also service charges on the online ordering site..
