How have you tried it? Funk fest? i didn't think it had ever been released. If so the release version would have even more age on it...

I was incredibly fortunate to have a sneak preview last week. Can't wait to see it carbed!

Probably ~$120 for a 6 pack max allotment as previous releases, but comes with a glass as well.

If anyone would be interested in splitting an allocation I would be down for that. I def. want a few bottles but might not be able to swing a full allotment. I will actually be in Ashville on December 12th. Let me know

I may have missed it completely, but are we able to use a proxy for pickup? I'll be at different events during the pickup window.

    No, they don't allow proxies.

They typically have a NO PROXIES/NO SHIPPING/NO BOTTLE HOLDING policy for release events.

I'm fine with no proxies, but I wish they would give you longer than a 2-day window for pickup.

I assume that's a space issue. Maybe once the new facility is up and running, that can be a pickup point if you pre buy bottles.

Which new facility? I was under the impression that everything was fully up and running now, hence all the IPA's they're pumping out.

The new production facility. Plenty of room to store beer there, but I don't believe it's open to the public. Would make holding bottles there and then getting them to people kind of a logistical nightmare. Hence the 2 day window.

That place is rocking and rolling man. It may not be open to the public, but it's not like they couldn't store bottles there. I've never heard anything about any intention to have a taproom there or have it open to the public.

Right, it's up and running. I'm talking about the potential to use the facility as a holding place for bottles for people. For instance, let's say I buy my allotment but cannot make the weekend. I pop into Ashevillle in January. They're holding my bottles at the production facility. They then have to get the bottles to me somehow and the production facility isn't open to the public. The space is there but the logistics are a bit tough.

You're right, that's a logistical nightmare. No way they do that. Any free space will soon be occupied with new tanks. They're growing fast. They want to move beer, not hold it.

I don't see any reason why Wicked Weed would want to start jumping through hoops regarding holding allocations and moving bottles around when they know there are plenty of people both online and locally ready to sell out these releases.

I'm not suggesting them moving bottles or "jumping through hoops" to hold them for anyone. I merely said it would be nice to have more than a 2-day pickup window. I really don't care. Was just trying to understand what was meant by the new space being up and running, because I thought it was already.

Welcome to the real problem with 90% of Wicked Weed's sours. You have to hold on to them for a year to actually get what they are 'supposed' to taste like. We are paying a high price to sit on beers so WW doesn't have to pay for the space.
But every release sells out instantly, why change it?

They are pumping out a ton of beers and are very inconsistant.. wish they would focus on product instead of $Cash...

Lusus naturae, freak, french toast, many others.. not to mention pumping out many mediocre one offs .. i don't bother going to wicked weed because of that.. many consistantly good beers from the funkatorium with a few exceptions so i go there quite a bit..
