Slept in today. Minor accident driving RV yesterday (all is good), but my back is sore today...this should help...Bell's 30th Anniversary Ale:

Outstanding IMO. Lite roasted malt and bittersweet dark chocolate. Full creamy mouthfeel. Toasty finish with notes of caramel and toffee. Roasted bitterness and chocolate linger (not sweet). Need to find more of this stout (11%). Happy Friday!

Ahhh damn it. This one's for Philthy. The world needs more like him.

How many times have you seen a drum kit in front? Here's a great song.

Dedicating this UK inspired ale to him.

I've never heard of this brewery, but I was traveling out of state and it caught my eye because it said "60 shilling" on it... that's a good sign. Then I immediately looked at the ABV... 4.3%. A great sign.... I'm sold.

I just bought a case of these. I am not too happy as they are best by November of 2015. Today is only 13 past that date. Nothing on the case gives the best by date and we already opened one of the cans. =( These are flat and taste like citrus.

I had my last Wet last night. Very good. I'll have them again next year.

I closed the short session with this big, bold beer.

I feel you, my favorite IPA in Montana is Tumbleweed but they don't date the cans or cases

I just talked to the rep by email who said that beer should be long since off the shelf but he will not give me my money back.

    Winter warmer time!

Poured from can into a tall Weizen glass.

Look : Deep rich nutty caramel color, with a towering head, 3 fingers. 90% opaque. Webby lace.

Smell : Wet leaves, nuts, caramel, barley malt. A bit of orange wedge, too.

Taste : Nutty, amber roasted malts; rye, winter spices; a touch of spruce tips, and a fruity finish of juicy orange wedge. A bit of nut hull in the breath as well.

Feel : Medium bodied, semi-dry, semi-creamy. Ends dry and roasted.

Overall : It's okay. Most of Fremont's beers are okay. I'd say this is one of the better offerings I've had. Nice beer on a cool morning.
