Still holding up but starting to fall off a bit. 8.50 for the bomber hard to beat though:

Why thank you, sir. This has been fun but that kills the old beers. I may not be able to contribute again until 3 years from now .

That might be the most epic description of a drainpour I've ever read.

5 episodes into Jessica jones. Decent so far. Plenty of mentions of the avengers but haven't noticed any of DD.

    Fantastic write-up!

Plus, you got the main point that we've been trying to make all day long: Everyone else is!

"Sorry, honey, but I need some personal space tonight. I need to go drink some really bad beers and then watch a horrible movie with a bunch of guys on the internet." :grinning:

It kind of shocked me when I saw the Mississippi Mud jug. In our travels four or five yago we bought a jug in St. Augustine I believe. To this day, it still has a place on our fireplace.

Thanks. BTW, I drink a lot of Port City brews, especially in the summer. Their wit beer is really good.

There's a homebrew shop on the northside (RIC) called Original Gravity, and a brewery that I visited in Milan, Michigan with the same name. Hope for litigation purposes that there's no more Original Gravity places than those two!

Evening troops! A lead in to the turkey beer coming up. This was found in my garage, something my son consumed in college about 10 years ago.

I'm betting on Aspergillus sp., Penicillium sp., and/or Cladosporium sp.

Undated can at 42 degrees into a shaker; a defunct beer from a defunct brewery into a glass from another defunct brewery (My son just dropped by, laughed, took a picture of me and the beer and sent it to his old college roomie. Son says they started making American again but with a new label.)
    Aroma of disulfide
Head large (>8 cm, aggressive pour), white, frothy, rapidly diminishing to two mm ring and partial layer
    Lacing - none
Body light yellow, clear, lots of floaties, or maybe floaters - the big ones precipitate
Flavor sweet with some acetic acid and some copper – or am I having a heart attack – surprisingly good for a 10/11 year old adjunct lager which was shitty even then.
    Palate light, syrupy, lively carbonation

    Appearance 3, Aroma 2, Flavor 3.5, Palate 3.5, Overall 3. Rating 3.01, Avg 2.23, rDev +35%

Only an hour until Simulviewing! Turkeys, get ready to take flight!

Pretty nice beer, i dig it. I don't have anything for Turkey Beer Day though i had a Guinness Nitro IPA earlier and some of you would consider that worthy of participating in the day:stuck_out_tongue: I think it's ok though, but not as good as this.

Kicking back with some Cobalt again. I don't like gin, but i like THIS Gin. Cheers!

She never told me she had twins!?!? :astonished:

    Edit:
And yes, Port City Wit is decent, a nice beer from the Small Craft Brewer of the Year (or something like that).

Less than an hour to go. Start revving your engines...

this song should get the juices flowing:

    ETA: actual lyrics, too

"From the makers of 'Devil Fish'
    [Wonderful Country that brought you]
    This will make you wish
You hadn't spent that 90 minutes
of your life watching this film
    but now you know that

Puma Man, He flies like a moron
In the air, in front of a greenscreen
with his slacks he looks so obnoxious
then he whines and makes people nauseous really quick

    Puma Man
    When Will He Find Love
    After All is it true?
    Dinosaurs Went extinct
    since they no longer
knew how to love each other

Disco Fight Scenes never get tired
Donald Pleasance will never be hired
"Pyuma Man" is not how you say it
Nor do costumes of shiny black latex

Theme music so corny or cheeseball
    Similar to 70's jingles
just like Crow T. Robot commented
"When you want the flavor of bacon in a dip"
