    Finally here for the party after a shitty ass day. My Saturdays have been like Groundhog Day recently. Anyway, on to the Turkey Beer Day!

    Certainly this had to be the first time this has ever happened. At least photographic evidence.

    What we have here is the "Natty". Not just any Natty though. This one is truly worthy of the Teku. It has a best by date of July, which is actually way before the river floating trip it was a part of. Not sure who it belonged to, but it ended up in my cooler in the back of my truck for a few weeks before my wife threw it into the door of the beer fridge.

    This sun aged can opened up with a bright white soapy head that almost overflowed onto my bourbon barrel where I'm sure it would have corroded through the lid like acid. Close call. It looks like chardonnay and dish water. It smells corn syrup, metallic water, and despair. It tastes much worse. I'm going to be honest. I have not had a beer since Monday and I thought this might actually be somewhat enjoyable. I could not have been wronger.

    That's amazing. And you capped it off with The Residents. Big fan. I have shit on Vinyl from them. You really have to have a screw loose and a total counter culture attitude to listen to them .....I'll be posting some weird stuff from them .....

    Appreciate it! I can't get enough pickled and fermented foods and I like working in the kitchen so I'm always doing all kinds of things. Tomorrow I'm making a batch of red cabbage & bacon kimchi...we'll see how that turns out

    No pictures. Today was brew day. We did an approximation of dogfishhead Indian Brown Ale.

    I invite my friends over and it usually turns into a beer-a-palooza and today was no exception, especially considering one of my friends just came back from a european business trip where he made a stop in Belgium over the weekend.
