I actually drank mine today too, had the exact same thought. It's unfortunate that getting a crowler muled to you and THEN sent to California ends up being such a long-winded process, I would have much preferred for that to have been fresher. This is not at all a knock on my mule (thanks again Cody!) just an observation that sometimes going further out of your way to acquire a beer does not mean a better end experience.

 

I'm surprised it's as faded as you guys are saying, though I can't say I'm incredibly surprised. I'm guessing despite crowlers holding for a bit, that'd be more suited to things like SSU, and not so much day-of-tapping uber murrens

 

Oh also... a bit of positive news today. Heard back from an interview I recently had with some promising news -- I'll be taking a teaching job (FINALLY)! However, instead of fully filling the vacancy, I'll be on a sort of "trial" run as a long term sub, so I still have to prove myself until the end of the school year... hopefully it goes well from there though.

 

OMG @_RL_, I completely forgot to specify that Day 1 beer should have been refrigerated. I guess it's too late now. *runs and hides*

Got my box from @vitaminvert today. The wrapping paper is a nice touch. Can't wait for tomorrow!

 

If we are supposed to tell our targets what to refrigerate I'm a little late too-- and I don't remember exactly but @pnelting should refrigerate his larger day 1 beer. But that is why I either refrigerate stuff a day or two before no matter what, or I unwrap first thing in the morning and then refrigerate if appropriate.

I think one other day needs to be refrigerated but I dont remember if it's day 3, 4, or 5.

 

I threw all of mine in the fridge, I figure even the heavy beers will take me time to drink since I'm admittedly usually a slow drinker, so even if it should be cellar temp it'll get there while I'm drinking

 

Hmmm. In Florida everything goes in fridge.
