Hardywood releases

It really has nothing to do with SnS (which is a great event that everyone should go to if in town!). Just like last year, they are having a craft show that weekend, and that's the reason they are opening early. And yeah, the other variants will probably be released at 2. I did enjoy the times when they released some of these for bottles only at 11, then opened for draft at 2. The good ole days....

 

Anyone hear what the details on the variant releases will be? Bottle pp? Prices?

 

Lately they've been waiting until the week of the release to say bottle limits & they're not allowed to advertise price...im guessing somewhere between 15-18

 

Right on @JustinH2 . That seems to be what HW has been doing recently so expect the limits on BGBS to be announced early next week. Lines do move fairly quickly @Superflyjsc but you may be in a very long line especially on the 19th (AB GBS * Kentucky Christmas Morning). The Trickery release a few weeks ago was insane and I expect the 19th to be similar. They moved quick but with a line stretching probably couple hundred people it still took some well over an hour to get through. Just assuming how many bottles produced, I don't expect them to sell out on release day unless they announce a lower bottle count so you could probably do yourself a favor and show up later in the day when lines have lessened and almost go right up and grab bottles. I even think the Goldrush release with a 325 bottle count sold out until late in the evening, if at all that day.

Christmas Morning just announced at 8pp. Should hit decent distro. We'll be getting some down throughout the Peninsula as well. I'll probably still head up there just to make sure I get some for trades that I have already locked in.

 

Damn 8pp, hopefully it makes it to Sunday, have to work all day Saturday

 

Goldrush didn't sell out on Saturday. I showed up Sunday afternoon and got 4 bottles and there was 3-4 cases left.

Drank a GBS with dessert last night and thought it tasted great this year. Was a crowd pleaser for sure. Hope you snag a variant of some kind when I'm in town around Christmas time.

 

Just looked at their site and a few places there carry Hardywood . Black Bear Bistro , Galloping Grape and Walmart . Not sure if they have GBS but you can check .There's lots of it here in SE VA .

 

Thanks, I'm in Warrenton for the next day so I just wanted to try and find some GBS before heading back to North Carolina. But I will definitely give those places you mentioned a call.

Anyone have any idea what BGBS will go for Saturday? It was $15 last year if I remember correctly. Allotments? I've got like three trades riding on me getting 8 between my fiancé and I.

 

Should be 4pp with pretty wide distro to the VA area. I am going up to DC that day and contemplating hitting the release because its at 11, or skipping and hoping for some still there when I roll back through town on Sunday.

 

With Christmas Morning being 8pp on the 12th, I am fully expecting BGBS to be at least that minimum as well. I bet the new kids on the block (ABGBS & Kentucky Christmas Morning) will be set at 4pp...
