No, not the tournie, just in general. And yes, it would be tough, but done right...

I'm a white oak sap fan--looking forward to whatever promised experiments result this next year.

New 2016 RS member, pretty hyped. Got the growler, also plan to buy the bag. Though I doubt I'll be filling often due to price/availability.

Haven't done Ukelele yet but I gave up on Ruebarb after 4 ounces and passed off the rest today.

That's surprising. I hated Ukelele and loved Rhubarb.

I found Ruebarb pretty inoffensive, didn't really stand out in any positive or negative ways

I generally only get one bottle of the sours. But I liked Ruebarb enough to buy another bottle. I reminds me of a really good Framboise

There's a lot of malic acid and a touch of oxalic acid in rhubarb stalks which imparts the tart flavor. I didn't get any notes of acetic acid in Ruebarb but there was an extra level of tartness that was almost certainly imparted by the rhubarb itself. Otherwise, I thought the flavor profile was nice and clean.

Although I promised myself I'd only buy one from the second chance sale, I'm regretting not picking up that other bottle. Definitely my favorite fruited sour from the Bruery so far and the one that may make me regret my decision not to renew my Reserve Society membership if it shows up again next year. Oh well, there's always my favorite, Sour In The Rye; no membership required for that beautiful beast.

Is this on tap that you guys are talking about? I opened a Ruebarb bottle the other day with some friends and we all thought it was outstanding. Pure jam.

Tomorrow is going to hurt the wallet for sure. December always sucks(spend way too much)/is an awesome Bruery month. So are we not having Christmas cellar sale this year? Always thought that was a lot of fun.

FYI - we had the chocolate salty BBLS and White Chocolate 2015 at the hoarders blending tourney. WC isn't bad, but it's no where near as good as the original batch. Its missing a lot of the chocolate flavor. Chocolate Salty BBLs also missed the mark for me. Its a good stout, but it needs a lot more chocolate and a lot more salt. You can't even tell their is salt in the beer.

This could be a good thing. When you can really tell salt is in the beer, you get Salt Of The Earth.
