Interesting feedback, thanks for sharing. Did anyone happen to find out what the base beer(s) for Chocolate Salty BBLs is/are?

Edit - 6 beers are up.

Huh, Juggling Walruses isn't what I was expecting and sounds...interesting. Really curious to get some tasting notes on that one. Also sounds like BA Seven Swans and TrIPLe will be hitting later in the month.

@F2brewers - when you get a chance, can you mark the following beers as released in the first post in this thread? Thanks.
    Bruery:
    Chronology Series: 18 Months
    Cinnamonk
    White Chocolate
Mystery Beer #1 (revealed as Chocolate Salty BBLs)

    Bruery Terreux:
Elements of Funk - Brettanomyces Claussenii
Mystery Beer #2 (revealed as Juggling Walruses)

    Description of Juggling Walruses

"There were a lot of balls in play. And heavy lifting. You see, in relatively short order, Bruery Terreux had become quite robust, especially since the buildout and launch on April 22, 2015. We had amassed a substantial amount of filled barrels, from seasonal releases, one-time treats and cherished smaller batch experiments. The art of the blend beckoned, and we had our pick of the litter (or would that be herd?) For such a mysterious beer that became known around the office as Juggling Walruses, Tart of Darkness was the perfect place to begin, making up the highest percentage of contributing barrels. But it wasn't just Tart of Darkness as you've come to know it. About two-thirds of the barrels were wine barrel-aged Tart of Darkness; and the other third of the oak barrels from the sour stout were particularly young. Black currants were added to all these barrels, introducing a less familiar fruit to our lineup, with a darker hue and new nuances to the sour beer flavor profile.

When blended with the other oak barrel and bourbon barrel-aged beers that were carefully selected for this blend, Juggling Walruses exhibits dark fruits, roast and char on the nose, with vinous notes and oaky characteristics weaving through flavors reminiscent of midnight foraging for berries in the forest. The mystery, though now revealed, remains dark at present, and will continue to brighten and evolve over time, as the high alcohol, slow-building acidity and subtle fruit character fold into the malt base and mouthfeel."

I'm confused, do we get 2 bottles of each mystery beer included with membership, or only 2 bottles of mystery beer #1, and if so, which beer is #1?

One of my critiques last year was there were too many beers comprised chiefly of blends. Both mystery beers land here again and have me less than pumped. I am jumping to the assumption that CSB is mostly Chocolate rain as the 16% abv would make sense. I hope they are good, but I just don't have the excitement on them I was hoping for.

We only get 2 bottles of MB#1, and according to the booklet we got at the beginning of the year, it's Chocolate Salty BBLs.

    Got it.

Not as expensive of a month as I anticipated. Only getting the Chronicles 18 I think.

I had a similar criticism, and have a similar reaction now. That said, the JW description is appealing enough that I'll likely get a bottle or two.

This is correct. Chocolate Salty BBLs is included in the membership.

This is a complete guess so if someone has a better answer please chime in, but I would say BT and SHIT and they added chocolate, vanilla and salt.

If they used CR, which is possible, I think there would have been more chocolate in it.

The lower price point of CSB leads me to realize it's not quite a straight up CR variant, I was honestly expecting it to be $40 pre-discount based on the description. And I get the hesitation at the blends, but the JW blends sounds like a different and interesting enough new take on blends so I'm eager to give it a shot. Excited to finally see Rueuze too, been waiting for a while on that one.

And please forgive me for asking this on the last SMM of the year, but does it open/start at noon just like every other day? And is it actually limited to card holders only, i.e not even spouses?

Cinnamonk filtered down to PS. For those who already had it, what do you guys think? Worth buying a bottle?

Not just Cinnamonk, but Humulus Rueuze, Prairie Rue, Ukulele, and White Chocolate, apparently. Went on the site and they're all listed after logging in.

Yeah, debating getting Cinnamonk, Humulus Rueuze, and Prairie Rue from my PS membership. Passing on the chance to get White Chocolate, one of my least favorite beers from The Bruery (not counting Terreux which has had a few misses).
