Well, shit, guess I'm not snagging any pipeworks BA stuff this year. I didn't know where I drew the line for goofy beer stuff until this moment. Awkwardly waiting around liquor stores in the middle of a workday is it.

 

Yep. I will wait on a day off or a saturday (where it is acceptable). For example Side Project always has fun releases. However standing around in the middle of a work day in a store to buy a couple bombers is just too far for me.

 

College kids must be getting into the craft.....haha

Didn't see in the e-mail where it stated "you must have a beard to purchase"

 

Ugh, come on.

I've gotta admit those beards are making a powerful argument for why I should drink more CW BBAS (or other BA stuff we have easy access to), and less limited-run Chicago stuff. No one needs to put that much effort into getting a beer, especially in the beer mecca that is this town.

 

Anybody know when lp will be releasing to public

 

I believe they already have. I would suggest calling.

 

They got them Friday for fwbs, so I'm guessing earliest would be today.

 

My girlfriend picked up from a binnys in the burbs so I believe LP would have released it already.

 

For those who have had this stuff, what are people's thoughts of The End of Days? Comparable to any similarly-brewed beers?

 

The non BA base is excellent.

 

Both BA and regular are awesome. One of my favorite by them.

 

Had it side-by-side this weekend with DBH. BA EoD has a good amount of cinnamon with some heat from the alcohol and peppers. It is a very good beer, but is nothing like DBH or Prop 2014. Excellent beer, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

 

Is this ... honesty?! How does that help our trade value. ;-)

 

Mine were dated on the bottom lip of the can, not on the underside of the can. First time I have seen cans dated like that. Not sure if it was intentional.
