So white chocolate no good ?

Was expecting to want a bunch but not really anything screaming at me to buy. Salty bbls for sure. Maybe a juggling walrus.

Cinnamonk seems to get a lot of hate along with Gypsy Tart. I really love both of these as i like the malty sour browns ales. Cinnamonk has a bit going on.. cinnamon on the nose with the BBA boozy note, blueberry mid palate and a sour malty finish.. once it warms up in the glass the magic begins.. or me anyway.. recommended consumption temp is 45F but i think you get more out of it at 55F

This is the worst month yet.... Bruery has always experimented pretty heavily with blends but Juggling Walruses just sounds like a mess. Other than BT Reserve, Bourgogne Blanc and Humulus Rueuze this year has been quite the disappointment for me. EDIT: For new beers that is... I can always rely on the tried and true repeated offerings to keep me coming back for more...

you did not dig Ride that Goat?! i wish The Bruery would release more.. They sent me a couple extra BT and an extra Preservation pack a month back that are not mine, I've been trying to return them but they have not scheduled a pick up. I can't stop looking at that bottle of RTG!!

Just got back to my desk from the Bruery.

The Chronology 18 is tasting great. The 12 didn't hit for me as smooth, but the 18 has a great smoothness that the 6 had. The White Chocolate is one of the best I have tasted from them, this years is very sweet. The Chocolate Salty tasted wonderful and wasn't too salty as I was expecting it to. I'm pleased. Oh, and the cask Or Xata with cocoa nibs and coconut had it's bag rip. Kind of murky, but damn good in my opinion!

Does anyone know if The Bruery has ever put any of their beers in large bottle format? Imagine being able to by a magnum of BT or of Wineification or a six liter bottle of SITR.. how about a new club beyond Hoarder's that gives a select few an opportunity to buy rare collectible large format bottles. I on board!!

    Per the society e-mail:

"We also expect to have two more releases coming to you later this month for you to try as well (think "swans" and "hops".)"

Yeah, they told me at the blending tourney those would be ready soon. They seemed really stoked on the IPL actually, but we didn't get to try it.

I touched on this a few pages back. Gypsy Tart is true to style for an Oude Bruin, like a Goudenband, but people hated it for not being a straight sour bomb like La Folie. I think Cinnamonk has that same stigma about it.

Outside of my included Salty BBLs, Rueze is literally the only thing this month that's remotely interesting to me. I have no idea how you're getting to $600.

Agreed. Ride That Goat was a knockout for the year. Hoping like hell we see a second chance on it.

I'm a ***** for their beers, conveniently that kind of rhymes with Hoarder... I should probably change the name on my membership card to "Shut Up And Take My Money"

no i did submit it, it was just a while ago and I remember doing it thinking "how could anybody say no to this combo" but not thinking it would actually get chosen.

As a fellow Hoarder who "legitimately" earned that tier on my own, I found that I had no chance of keeping up and these days buy a few bottles a month/share purchases more with friends. Plus there have been oh so many misses with the beers recently. There's no way anyone is convincing me of buying a JW. And while people won't shut up about Ride The Goat (and therefore I maybe missed the ball on that one), I'm still not convinced that a 14% weizenbock is ever going to be a good idea.

Forgive my ignorance, but is BBLS a theme that may get re-releases? I had my first and single bottle of BLUE BBLS that i scored last Christmas Sale, and we loved it.

I don't know if they'll do a re-release or keep coming up with new ways to make this sort of a running gag. Re-releases are cool but they also seem to really enjoy making different stuff all the time.

Wonder what happened to the Apple Pie Sour that was going to be a mystery beer.
