It was OK IMHO. Hard to tell the difference between this and another Prairie farmhouse ale. I bought a few to drink with certain foods. Worth a try for sure, there are certainly more polarizing offerings in their lineup.

I experienced the same thing. It surprised me at first but then I warmed up to it and enjoyed it.

Has anybody cracked a griffon brux in a while?
    How's it holding up?
They definitely need to brew this again.

Yeah, that tasting list looks awesome. I've got a vert of every Rueuze tucked away (plus MotherFunker) so I am stoked to see how 2012 is doing even though I feel like each successive year is better. The bottom 7 of that list is crazy, I almost want to start there and work backwards

Regular Geese was fine when I had one last week, but the last two BA Geese I had were very tart. I'm guessing gooseberries are similar to cranberries and can turn over time.

Had my final bottle maybe four months ago. Still incredible.

They also said if you choose the bag and wanted to switch after learning about the 2016 growler fills rules, you can just email them.

Which in my mind, made the whole thing right.

little disappointed in Fourthmeal. guess i was hyping it up too much in my head. was hoping for more Main Beer Co hop presence. tasty, but not the "closest thing to an IPA" Bruery beer i was expecting

I honestly can't believe anyone is still excited over White Chocolate after what was released the last 2 years. I've just accepted that 2012 WC was some magic in a bottle never to be repeated - I'm eager to be proven wrong but until then I won't be buying any bottles - it'll be lucky to make the cut for my second flight when I make my monthly visit in a week or 2.

I was also thinking maybe in a couple weeks we should do some sort of retrospective on the highlights and lowlights of the new stuff the Bruery put out this year. I totally get that people are disappointed with a lot of the new releases, but hell as long as they keep making BT/CR/GM/MW and Rueuze/OT/SitR/fruited variants (...simple fruited variants) then I'll be a happy society member.

Another thing I was thinking - the 2014 HS Exclusives were far and away superior to the 2015 HS exclusives. And finally, I opened a 2014 Mash tonight and it tasted awful - reminiscent of 2013 WC. I fridged it, we'll see if I change my mind tomorrow night.

ETA: One more thing - I was somewhat disappointed in Wine 3, it was still quite enjoyable, but honestly I have to say I prefer Wine 2. Wine 3 seems significantly more Black Tuesday-y…nothing wrong with that, just my own preference I suppose. Got a bottle of Wine 1 I'll have to open soon to compare.

Trying to think of what we got 2014 vs 2015.

2014: Mocha Wednesday, Melange 9, Cognac Sucre, Portuguese Sucre, Wineification II, Befuddlement?

2015: Port BT, Madeira BT, Melange 10, Melange 11, Bourgogne Blanc, BT Reserve

    Am I missing anything?

For 2014, Blue BBLs was also Hoarders only.

I usually shrug at statements of "last year was better," but now that I'm looking at it, it's hard to debate otherwise. All of 2014's were solid and they appear to have one more than this year. This year we had the trainwreck of Melange 11 and I also wasn't crazy about Melange 10.

I understand that every year can't be better than the last, so it doesn't really bother me. I'm still hoping for Grand Marnier BT one of these years!

We all knew that this year was going to be a sort of rebuilding year based on all the problems with infections last year and the splitting of the two brands.
