    Hahahaha...I guess that's like your opinion, man. I absolutely loved DBPT5 and Rum 4 Elf last year. Why does anyone need to pay attention to what other people say about a beer? I personally don't think much of anyone's opinion on an online forum. Some of my close friends, however, are a different story and out of that group only one has said they didn't care for DBPT5.

    PS. I have more than one close friend. I swear.

    Last year you could walk up and buy bbpt5 when the party started at 11AM Saturday. The drawback to that strategy in previous years is that you wouldn't have gotten anything else. As has been mentioned, the main difference this year is actually a greater allotment of the other offerings. Yes ticket sales are earlier and the bbpt5 quantity is lower.

    I could easily foresee people walking up at 11AM Saturday and getting bbtp5 and whatever else they want as well. I'm certainly not rushing to get there on Friday.

    I'm very excited to see Sarsaparilla 666 back though. Had one a few months back and it was great. Never had it fresh so I hope it's on draft too.

    But yeah, most of the others were iffy at best, and pretty bad once aged like 6 months. On that note, I'll be bringing Lambeak Wants Blood Orange and King of the Forest for anyone that needs some convincing.

    That's terrific. I did too. My fault for not drinking them faster I suppose - have you had any of the stuff from last year lately? I have, just this past weekend actually, to remind myself one way or the other whether I should buy any this year. The answer was clear, and I'm sure others differ from my opinion on the topic. Having had all the BBPt5 and gone to all 'release' parties dating back to 2010 (BBPt5 bombers/magnums!), I've learned my lesson. Just trying to pass along my experience.

    Sorry, I should have said last year's DBPT5 and Rum 4 Elf. I think the last one I had was a Rum 4 Elf about 3 months ago and it still tasted terrific, which actually surprised me a bit.

    Trying to pass on your experience and make it sound like people are idiots for still wanting to get some of the other offerings, despite the opinions of you and others, are two very different things. Let people judge the beer for themselves. Had you said "I didn't care for the other offerings after a few months", it would have had a completely different context. Plus, when you mentioned warning people about the quality of stuff, that will most likely be taken as the beers being shit from day one. If you said they tasted like shit after a few months - totally different. For the record, I was not offended by your post, but I felt like pointing out how snobby you sounded. Oh, and I'm the guy on the right in my av so if you have a problem, take it up with that guy...I mean me.

    share stories about what? how unenjoyable standing and sleeping in a bier garten is for 15 hours? I think I would get sick of asking other beer geeks "have you tried this beer? what about that other one? yeah, I didn't like that one as much as that other one though" after 10 arduous minutes.
