Snagged a Rum a couple of minutes ago. So it seems like the randomizing worked. Or, they have a lot more Rum than we think.

Apparently it's One of Oprah's favorite things this year. Look under your seat. And you get a rum and you get a rum

I drank my last Rum BT after drinking a Grey Monday. So maybe this time I'll remember what it tastes like.

Looks like the Rum is out of stock, and going by the post above me, I just missed it by a couple of minutes. Too bad, thats been my absolute favorite version of BT yet.

    Oh dude, i know:
'09 BT is like a true modern whale. I've never even seen a bottle except on the interwebs.
I meant its funny that he'll "accept" the other beers ....either of which is worth more than his Prop, but he'd rather get the '09, of course.

Yeah the BCBS variants....well I'm sure there's a billion opinions around but my two cents is:

Regal is crap compared to Backyard. It's thin and way less jammy. But its still a really nice fruited BA stout.
It's been pretty divisive i found: Lots of people I sat with on Black Friday hated it. Many were just disappointed it wasn't Backyard. Some loved it. I'd surely drink it again but I'm in no hurry to get any except to give to my friends/trade partners. I suppose it is the only one of the variants this year that might benefit from age.

Coffee has a weird after taste but it otherwise pretty solid about as good as last year. It's no '13 coffee though.

The Barleywine is just sad. I felt like everybody agreed '13 was awesome. I actually had it side by side with King Henry a few times in 2013 and it was really kinda close, i thought. Amazing beer.
Then '14 came out and it was like '13 with water added. Still good but much thinner.
I feel like '15 tastes like '14 plus plum wine. It is very fruity, acidic, and thin. But I know a few people who preferred it that way. Some people like fruited barleywines (quad lovers)

And Rare....Rare is way, way over-barreled for my tastes. It tastes like wood and wood and floor polish...so dry as to be almost undrinkable. (well that's hyperbole; but it is really dry). Classic example of ruining a stout with too much barrel. It certainly ain't going to improve with age. Though i guess it's trade value probably will. The box is nice though ; )

The reg BCBS for 2015 is awesome though. Far better than '14 was. And at least as good as '13 (if not '12) were fresh.

From what I've heard, they made 20,000 bottles of Prop this year.

Well then that seems like a reasonable one for one with 09 BT. I mean they did release 1600 bottles of that only 6 years ago.

Does it maybe have something to do with alcohol related postings on social media in a relatively dry society?
