    I would like to try it but just can't bring myself to pay $14,99 a six pack about $9,00 is my limited for now.

    I put in a request for a case at a local distributor a few hours ago. VaS is still one of my favorites out of all the beers that I've had, and I'm one of the (seemingly) rare breeds that likes mint beers.

    I'd say I'm cautiously optimistic based on what others are saying in this thread, but fuck it. I'm downright excited.

    Just had it in tap yesterday. I wanted to buy 2 bombers too. Blah, I did not care for it. Drank 3/4 and gave the glass back to the bar.

    What mint stouts did you think were gross?

    I've had several stouts with mint in various forms added. Have you had Vernal Minthe Stout from Ska? I think its pretty good.

    Ok, fair enough. Tried any others?

    I'm not saying I love mint in stouts but I don't think its flat out gross either. I like Victory at sea enough to try it. Would hopefully be able to try a single rather than investing in a pricey sixer that might not be good

    Honestly, I'd written off Porters a long time ago. Always tasted like chewing tobacco spit to me, but VaS is pretty exceptional and VaS w coconut might be one of my top 20 or so beers of all time. Figured I'd have to give this one a try although it does sound kind of funky.

    Picked up two 22oz today. $8.88 a piece. A little more than I'd like to spend, but figured I was unlikely to find it on tap and it would probably go for at least $5 for a 10 or 12oz pour. Gonna wait until Xmas to try it. Might cellar the other one if its not to my liking right away.
