Also coming soon from that facility Moneytree$ Gose Style Session IPA and Farmhouse IPA

How would one brew at a brewery that doesn't brew at their own facility?

Why would it suck if brewed at New Belgium or OB? Both stellar breweries. OB would be problematic because they don't do sours, goses, etc. Not too many at least. New Belgium, does many though and does them well.

They have two facilities and certainly brew at one of them. To my knowledge at least.

They wouldn't.... but Crooked Stave DOES brew at their own facility, just not at their taproom @ The Source. CS like tripled their space at the barrel warehouse and moved all the brewing equipment over there at the start of the year (or maybe the end of last I forget).

As for the original topic... SUPER excited for this beer to drop! I LOVED the original and drank at least two gallons of it last May when I was staying in Columbia, SC and trekking down to Westbrook every weekend.

Didn't realize that the unused equipment at The Source was finally hooked up although I did know it had been moved to the barrel facility. Thought they still brewed exclusively at Epic. Awesome!

It hit here in CO (no surprise with it being brewed in Denver) and my friends and I opened one Friday night.... It's amazing. I was scared it wouldn't hold up to the OG batch but it absolutely does.

Never saw it in MD before when it was last released, but heard a couple of exclusive/select craft bars had it on tap. How much of a Whale will this beer, or should it be fairly easy to obtain for beer stores that usually carry Stillwater distro.?

It is very tough to say this year since it's being brewed at a new location and potentially a different size batch. Last year it definitely didn't see wide distro for Stillwater accounts, it was mainly limited to East Coast markets and Westbrook accounts.

Hit Chicago last year, places and people didn't know it was limited or a variant of a popular beer. I bought a good amount since it was basically a hoped up Westbrook gose. Guessing it won't be as easy to come by this year. I have one put away, has anyone cracked one recently? Comments?

hey hey people.. feel free to drink up, we already brewed 3x what we made the first time and it's tasting fantastic! maybe another month in the bottle for the brett to tighten up a bit.. but other then that, she's the same beauty as before.

will see full Stillwater distribution (eventually)

btw, i'm also toying around with the idea of a GGW series for next year.. hmmmm :astonished:

    thanks,
    b.

Fan-effing-tactic. Have to ask, when is "eventually" for PA?? Cmon, we're right next door! Mouth watering already...

Also would like to add my official support for a GGW series, which I'm sure is very valuable. Destihl's had their run of the gose series game for far too long already..

Whoops, fan-tastic. Damn autocorrect. Fan effing tactic would be something very different. Used by only the most generous or the most dickish breweries, I guess..
