I think outing his workplace is a great move. Only wish I was in the Westborough MA area myself to pay a visit to Julios' and talk to Mr. Gonzo about his indiscretions.

Since he came through on the last "bad trader" thread he was involved in, I am holding out hope that he'll come through on this one too.

I can toss in some Breakfast Stout and a BA Speedway if @GonzoHomebrewer doesn't come through.

@factory if GonzoHomebrewer doesn't make good, I can kick in 2014 BCBS, Speedway stout & Older Viscosity.

It's not on the list but 2015 BCBS is amazing. I'll include one if YvesB is interested.

@GonzoHomebrewer seriously what's up with this bs? Are you a trader who has stumbled badly, or are you just another scum sucking thief? Your choice. Which is it?

Thats 19 bottles for an international trade... seems overly ambitious and doesn't take into account the target weights for best pricing on overseas shipping. Dude probably packed the whole box up, went to print postage and dropped dead from sticker shock.

Not much on that list I can kick in that hasn't been offered already but ill throw $20 on the postage if it comes down to a replacement box.

Was just in Belgium earlier this year in time for the Keukenhof Tulip Festival and the Tour de Geuze (though didn't actually know about the Tour de Geuze until too late so missed it). Lovely area that I can't wait to go back to!

I've spoken with @YvesB through BM, and shared everything I knew. Unfortunately there was no one thing that worked in my case, I tried text, FB, untapped, BM, and calls. In the end he never responded to me or the last thread, one day I just received an email update from FedEx that I had a package on the way. I really hope it works out this time and that going forward anyone that trades with him requires him to ship first.

Shipped out today, definitely didn't want it to come this as @YvesB was overly generous on this trade without me being late on top of it, so I did throw in some random limited releases on top of what he asked for. No acceptable reason for this on my end; I had an updated message for him in regards to the availability of a couple things he was seeking plus some things I knew were coming out that I wanted to add, but I knew it would be a bit of a wait before they were released, but I screwed up and never got the message to him.

Oh and @ldhughes3, sent you a PM, making sure your wants are up to date and sending 2-bottle shipper with beers off of your list, just because.

Whoo hooo! I know you waited a long time, but it's so good to see that you are going to get your beers!
Please let us know when you get them and if everything is delivered as promised.

Straight to the point no excuses and apologetic. I like your response and thanks for popping in I have said it before but it is communication like this that could prevent the Bad Trader threads from popping up 99% of the time. Good on you making good though and not making excuses. Cheers!

@GonzoHomebrewer I like your responses as well. However, and it's a big however, you now have two bt threads, which simply can't be ignored.

Going forward you really need to sharpen up your communication & strive to ship within a reasonable timeframe.

Anyone trading with you is nutzzz if they don't require you to ship 1st. You'd be wise to suggest it even if they don't. Note, shipping 1st eases concerns, but it doesn't diminish your responsibilities to provide ongoing communication & prompt shipping.

Gonzo, I hope going forward you get it together. You seem basically decent & owe it to yourself as well as your trading partners to get it under control.

I like that he apologized and all but the sincerity of the apology is in question IMO. To me, your name pops up in one of these threads once and it should be a wake up call. When it pops up twice, regardless of whether you make it good or not, I would never trade with him, ship first or not. To me, this is just not the kind of person we need in the scene and I'm not convinced that this would have ended well had his name not been on blast. I hate to say it but that's just how I feel especially considering most of his positive feedback was from IP trades where he didn't have to ship.

I also urge the OP to leave negative feedback so that it warns future traders. Otherwise, he'll have two Neutral feedbacks in a row if that's what the OP would leave (no chance this is positive) and when the next trader locks in a deal with him, if he doesn't actually click on his trade history, he will just see a 100% feedback score and think everything is fine.

I don't fully understand how Neutral doesn't reflect in the feedback score. To me 100% feedback should mean 100% of people left positive feedback but in this situation, only 75% (6 out of 8) of people were satisfied with their trading experience, but I guess that's another conversation for another day.

I don't know, but I suspect neutral feedback works similar to a walk in baseball. Batting average is hits divided by at-bats, and walks just come out of the equation entirely. Although I agree with you it's worth considering whether this should be tweaked.

I assume that's the scenario too but if that's how it works then his feedback shouldn't read "Trading: 100% | 8" after this trade. It should read "Trading: 100% | 6" since they are only factoring in 6 trades towards that score. Maybe the "quick glance" profile view that we see when we click on a person's name should say something like "Trading: 100% | 8" and underneath maybe have Positive: 6, Neutral: 2, Negative: 0. I just don't know how many people actually go into the full profile view to see the comments left from previous trades. I'm assuming the OP didn't or I'm sure he would have made this guy ship first.

Fair, but that is at least partially on those people for not checking... I am really glad this thread was able to get the beers that were owed sent, but people need to actually use the feedback system properly and read someone's history (it takes literally a minute) - especially when sending out expensive boxes like this. If you click on his completed trades the first thing you see is a very clear warning from his last trader that communication was poor, and you should ask him to ship first...
