I'm hoping they're good because that'll be the nearest brewery to me but it seems like they're home brewers without any pro experience which makes me nervous but who knows maybe they'll be good.

New one in Fort Collins, Jessup Farm Barrelhouse, which I only learned about through a shout out towards their opening on Funkwerks Facebook page. Looks interesting, anyone been? Know anything about them beyond what is available on their website?

I checked out Jessup yesterday. It's in an area that is building a Source type environment. They had a coffee roaster, restaurant and other shops. I only checked out the brewery though. They had 4 base beers a dry hopped pale, dry hopped red, a brown and black ale. They also had one or two barrel aged varients of each. Most of the barrel aged versions were super mellow and very approachable for a barrel aged beer. Curious to see what they do in the future.

Guess I'll have to check them out coming back from the slopes.

Went to the opening of Vision Quest Brewing last night in Boulder. Next to Boulder Fermentation Supply, started by home brewer but much better quality than I expected. Had a lot of variety on tap, including Passionfruit Berliner, Brett Saison, NE style pale w Galaxy, London Porter, and Dark Sour w Raspberry. All solid IMO

Hey guys, just a heads up that we are open from Tuesday-Sunday (hours posted on our site/Facebook/etc). We'd love to have you in and hear what you think of the beer!

Stopped in at Westbound & Down yesterday on the way home from Breck. Tried all 4 of their current offerings. The Colorado Pale Ale (IPA) was a very tasty, citrus forward IPA and I also enjoyed the Seven Sisters Stout, a light yet pleasantly roasty "session stout." I'm a little confused why they call their IPA Colorado "pale ale" when one of the other beers on tap is the Denver Day Trip Ale, more of a true pale. The Belgian pale ale was just ok, nothing I'd order again.

Very modern space with a lot of seating. Personally I don't really dig the sterile feel of a white linoleum bar but some people might like it. My friend ordered the buffalo chili and really enjoyed it. Staff was very friendly and the bartender, a homebrewer in his own right, was very knowledgeable about the beer making process. Overall, a nice place to stop on the way back from the mountains but not exactly a "can't miss" spot.

I really wish some more breweries would open up in West Littleton. Locavore and St. Patrick's Brewery are both awesome, but I'd love some joints even closer to where I am. Anyone know of any "soon to be open" Littleton Breweries?

I agree that it would be nice to open up more in that area, but remember "awesome" is subjective. I didn't think highly of my visit to St Patrick's. I'll give them a second shot eventually, but I am in no rush.

There are few breweries in Littleton because the city didn't want them. Breweries without a kitchen had be zoned manufacturing. I don't think a brewery (not a brewpub) has ever opened in Littleton prior to 2014. It wasn't until 2013 when the city changed it's zoning to allow Breckenridge Brewery to build and prevent Walmart from taking that space.

Not a brewery necessarily, but there's a Pint Room across from Jack & Grill near Belleview and Federal. They have something like 150 taps from a ton of local and national/regional breweries. Of the multi-tap places that have popped up, they might be the best of the bunch. I'd trade a few breweries for a place like that.

Had a collaboration between Funkwerks and New Image Brewing and if they have more offerings like that I would love to head up there whenever they open.

Cerebral is a flash back to science class in junior high/ high school. They beers are pretty on point with the styles as well. Oh and there is a pie shop next door..... I will be going back often.

Ah, interesting and I did not know that. While I'm not over the moon for Breck beers I do think the restaurant is awesome and their Sunday brunch always makes me feel extra fat. It's much, much better than Walmart being in that same space for sure.

Yea, I feel that Littleton is a bit conservative seeing as how the breweries and recreational weed shops are few and far between.

Periodic Brewing just opened in Leadville about 6 weeks ago. Stopped in yesterday. Nice little bar area with big open community room upstairs. Three beers on tap: brown, imp brown and amber. The amber was the best at a B+

Two Mile brewing should start razing the Conoco in April to build their new place.
