We get $8 32oz fills in central PA so that's not unrealistic if it can makes its way west.

Roundabout still had bottles of Heinni's for sale today. Pacific Gem was tasty as well.

I'm drinking one of @shuggy 's IPAs right now and it is very good. So, put me in the pro Shuggy IPA column.

Does anyone know if there are any brewery New Years events tomorrow? I've been a little bit out of the loop lately.

Thanks for the positive feedback. I'll have a new beer for you in a few weeks.

Me too. Not only the best homebrew I've ever had but up there with best ipa's that I've had. Get this guy at job at one of the breweries around here.

Insurrection AleWorks kid friendly? (No I'm not asking about Draai Laag we all know they are allowed with a growler purchase).

That's enough unfunniness (a made-up word) for now.

I'd asked the same question & got this response: Early on there were two tables with kids. Later on the place got slightly darker, crowd younger, music louder. I'd have zero issue bringing my fam up until 5 or 6pm.

There's an atrium at the bottom of the stairs when you first enter with a low table and some comfy seats, where kids could probably settle down and draw or iPad it up, but the rest of the space is a bunch of strictures--can't recall the percentage of high tops that pepper the bar area, or if there is a long bench of some sort?

Agree with @OneDropSoup 's response for the most part, and while my kids frequent breweries, this space seems less conducive to kiddos; would think the most ideal time might be a Sunday morning.

Thanks. Going to swing by early this afternoon and check it out. My boys like Brew Gentlemen the best since Beau the dog is usually there and chases them around. They refuse to color/draw which when I see your Untappd pics with quiet kids in the background coloring makes me envious.

For those in the Pittsburgh Craft Beers FB group, I posted an informal "Best Local Beers 2015" "poll" over there. If you want to counteract me stuffing the box with votes for Hala Kahiki pounders, get over & vote.

They're only quiet because it's only a snapshot, one of probably around 100 taken at a given time in which they aren't running amok (their baseline). My kids like BG as well. Fat Heads and Voodoo too, the latter because of the large space with colorful skulls (like Jack the Pumpkin King from Nightmare Before Christmas).

We need to get them all together sometime and really ruin the atmosphere. :grinning:

Got this response when I asked Insurrection about bringing kids. Sounds fair enough:

"We allow kids aged 1-4 from 2-6 PM on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. We allow kids aged 5-6 from 2-8 PM on Wednesday thru Sunday. We allow kids aged 7-12 on Wednesday thru Sunday during all hours. Kids aged 12+ are allowed by themselves during all days and hours and are the only group permitted for growler fills.

We require a birth certificate to verify child's age upon entry. If the permitted time window elapses, you are allowed to remain at the establishment, but we kindly ask that your child vacate the premises. Thank you for your patronage!"
