(I hope) at least that the ratings are from people who are actually drinking a whole can of it, as opposed to rating a one-ounce pour of a boozy adjunct stout at a bottle share...

Adding to all this, I am a 1x-2x/month TH customer from +/- 1 hour away. Started coming shortly after the move from Brimfield, so not a Day 1 patron, but fairly early in the growth cycle. I've had a bunch of civil, fascinating conversations with the TH gang about this remarkable growth. I get the sense that they are shocked at having gotten so popular, so fast, and frustrated that anybody has to wait even 5 minutes to buy their beer, and working tirelessly to manage the growth and shorten the lines while continuing to serve a voracious public. I agree with everyone who says we're lucky to have them.

I take it you're one of the people who thought it acceptable to park in someone's front yard because you drove some undisclosed distance for beer? Keep it up and soon enough you'll be a pedestrian.

Quick! It's been over 5 posts before someone has commended TH on how efficiently they handle the crowds! Haha

Seriously. I didn't want to fight the crowds at Tree House yesterday, so I had to "settle" for what turned out be an excellent batch of NS Morph. Amazingly, I lived to tell the tale of this harrowing ordeal.

Honestly, if you're really upset about not being able to get Tree House, you might not be exploring your other options throughly enough. There's SO MUCH out there, complaining about not having access (or even the type of access that you would prefer) to one brewery just comes off as myopic, entitled and generally whiny.

Did you go knowing they opened early? If I had know they were opening early I totally would've gone. But 3:00 wasn't going to get me back to Boston when I needed to be back. Did they announce that they were opening early somewhere?

Additionally, should I be on Twitter? Because damn, I do not want to be on Twitter.

It was brewed previously, it's been on the market more than 20 hours.

I think it is an all together different beer. they shaved like 2% off the ABV

Twitter is definitely the place to be for beer news (releases, line updates, drunk Hill Farmstead brewers talking shit at 2am, etc), plus most breweries are pretty good about answering questions which can be really handy. As far as not wanting to be there, Twitter is only who you follow. If you want to use it exclusively as a tool to get info from breweries, there's no reason you can't do that.

Oh really? Didn't know that, just assumed it was the one they brewed for EBF in 2014. I retract my statement then

Dont get me wrong the newer version might not have been added to BA so people could be rating it under the old.

eh, if you're on facebook and monitor The tree house gang group you'll get the updates immediately after they go up on twitter. Probably 8 times from 8 different people in 2 minutes in fact. I don't have a twitter but I hear about the goings on pretty fast through FB.

No they didn't announce it ahead of time, but at 2:00 they said they were in open in a reply to someones question on twitter. Like @oldbean said there is no reason you would want to avoid twitter, only follow breweries, thats all I use it for and its a great tool. Another way to get info is some of the variuos groups on facebook, there is a page devoted to line updates that can be handy.
