Fellow drunkards! I have a friend stopping by for about three hours at around 7pm tomorrow, and he is big time into craft beer. I was thinking of taking him to El Segundo or Three Weavers, since they are close to the airport, but alas, they close at 6pm tomorrow.

Can you guys give me advice on a place that will do quality craft beer near the airport that will be running tomorrow until late (he leaves at 11:30pm)? The only caveat is that it needs to be close enough to the airport just in case.

    Thanks and cheers!

There is a Rock & Brews across the street from ESBC.

Plus there is Brewsters at the Sheraton near the airport.

Rock and Brews seems to close at 9pm on a Sunday, alas. Brewsters seems good! Any other options? The only bummer about Brewsters is... well, that its in the Sheraton, I guess!

Select Beer Store is open until 8 tomorrow - it's not a brewery but is a bottle shop that also has local beers on draft. Not far from that is Phantom Carriage which has a really cool taproom. Neither is more than 15 minutes from LAX.

First tip...if you can avoid Century Blvd do it. Take Sepelveda (tunnel) depending on which direction your coming from. Especially when you exit the airport. Sometimes it can take 15-30 minutes to get to the 405 using Century.
If you got 3 hours to kill you could do Beachwood BBQ in LB. With no traffic on Sunday's you can make it in 30 minutes or less one way. That leaves you 2 hours to chill. I think Smog is open till 9 on Sunday's. 20 minutes out. Or you could take him to Flights Beer Bar in Hawthorne on El Segundo off the 405. I think a better choice than the $$ at Brewsters or Rock n Brews.

Great tips! I will be taking a cabbie wherever, so I'll keep that in mind to tell the driver. Beachwood is too far and time consuming for this time, but FBB sounds like a good candidate. Brewsters have a nice list, but they are quite pricey. Anyway, this all sounds reasonable.
