I'd have to say Surly wet and founders KBS. Found both lacking. Don't get me wrong they were good, but just over hyped to me

Duck Duck Gooze was hilariously acetic. #lambiclover

I probably had way to high of expectations for Surly Darkness, but it was mild letdown for me.

i nominate anything citra for overhyped.

i regretted buying wootstout, but i don't know as it was a letdown. lagunitas doppel sticky was a serious letdown, but i don't think it was very hyped.

I've been wondering if that's next in line to be canned. The more I tell myself they should, the more I tell myself they already have two kinds of Bender on the shelf and I really don't see them canning a third.

I hear ya, I will go into the 2nd bottle without all the amped up hype in my own mind. Haven't drank my BA Darkness yet, curious as to how that one is going to be!

Good Morning. It was a good beer. But after all the hype, didn't live up.

Night and Day. I find regular Darkness to be fine, nothing too exciting. This year's BA is phenomenal.

    Both are national...

Almanac IPA. I live in Chicago and heard lots of praises about Almanac being a fantastic west cost breweryabout both the brewery and this beer specifically. Ended up being totally unbalanced.

AleSmith Speedway stout. Drank one fresh the other day and the coffee flavor was totally off. Way to intense and bitter. I dont really understand the 97 rating. Hopefully my second bottle will mellow out after 6 months.

I'll sound like a noob here, but...after seeing so much about Surly's Coffee Bender, I finally splurged the $13 and bought a four pack.

    ...yah. It's just okay.

National? Stone's Arrogant Bastard Ale. That's some of the worst, vile crap I've laid my lips to. Instant drain pour although I suffered through half a bottle to write a halfway decent (and objective) review.

The most recent batch of Good Morning was night and day compared the the previous. I think their earlier batch was one of my all time favorite beers.

Midwest: Rum King. I know I'm in a serious minority here, but I just don't think it's a good beer - average, at best. And I love BA beers.
