We're releasing a new IPA this Friday! Strange Claw is loaded with Citra and Columbus at over 3.5#/bbl. Rare Trait (IPA) and Tandem Jetpack (DIPA) will be on tap as well. Let us know what you think!

Thought Rare Trait and Tandem Jetpack were really good. Super juicy. Also thought the brown was good as I like my browns to be either hoppy or really nutty, and it was definitely the latter.

Hopefully can make it back soon to try this new IPA!

For those who haven't had them, the Cerebral IPAs are legit.

Oh man! I loved the test pattern! It was something different and stood out amongst the crowd... Oh well makes sense.

    Thanks for the amazing beer!

I LOVED 2014 and 2015! Does this year's version have a bit of pepper presence?

Made it to Cerebral on Sat. Had a flight and a couple of Rare Traits. Ended up leaving with a crowler (yes!!!) of it. That and the DIPA were great, super juicy like @Greels said. I actually thought all of the beers on that night were good. Cool vibe too. Will definitely be back.

Also had C:S 4.0 last night. I'm seriously in love with this stuff. So crushable. 1.0 has been my favorite version, but 4.0 is a close 2nd.

Wasn't a big fan of Superfan 1.0. Thought it was decent but missed the mark on the NE style IPA (hazy, juicy, soft mouthfeel). Skipped version 2.0. Picked up and killed a sixer of 4.0 over the weekend. Damn that's good; legit NE style IPA. Came across some 3.0 today and just did a side by side tasting. Digging 3.0 but 4.0 > 3.0.

Without a doubt, Superfan 4.0 is the best packaged IPA from CO to date.

I didn't think of pepper while drinking it, but I didn't think of pepper in the prior version(s) I tried either....so you probably don't want to trust my take on it. I might just be interpreting things differently. To me, I got herbal, peach, and melon.

I'll give it a try when I can. The past ones I got a black pepper taste similar to Nelson... On top of the other flavors you mentioned

Trying Superfan for the first time. I like it a lot but it doesn't touch most NE IPAs. Still a solid effort and i'd choose this over 90% of other IPAs from this state but I'd be lying if I said it competes with Trillium and Treehouse IPAs. No disrespect to Odd 13 but those NE breweries are making some of my favorite hoppy beers in the country.

Don't get really get a pepper tastes but it is a tiny bit more bitter than I would like. It also feels a a little thin in the mouthfeel department.

The pepper was another beer

Which Trillium or Tree House beers have you had? I find it competes with some, but nothing in the country competes with the best of them

I finally got around to trying Station 26 single hopped Chinook last night. I really liked it. I think it is much more balanced than the Citra version (still hop forward but plays nicer with the malt). Station 26, have you or would you consider canning Juicy Banger?

Thought superfan 4.0 was awesome! Definitely competes with a lot of hoppy stuff from Trillium but still a long ways from being on Tree House level IMO.

What is everyone's thought on Cannonball Creek Mindbender IPA? I went there last Sunday for the first time hoping to try Project Alpha, but they were out. I had a couple Mindbenders instead, and I think that they really hit the cutting edge of the west coast style on the head. I was talking to one of the guys there, and he basically said that they don't like to use a lot of malt on any of their beers with the exception of their reds. I want to get back down there and try Project Alpha.

I am a big fan of Cannonball Creek, but Mindbender is probably the most boring beer I've had from them. Just middle of the road, paint by numbers IPA. Loved Not Mindbender though

It's very good, but nearly every time I've been there I've had one of the Project Alpha beers and it doesn't quite stand up to those. Two weeks ago I went and PA6 had kicked so I had Mindbender, and was reminded how good it was.

I've been mostly staying in lately, but Cannonball Creek is one of the few places getting me out of the house. If I lived closer I'd probably slow way down buying packaged IPAs and just fill growlers there

Thanks! We feel the same way about Odd 13. Now to get our hands on some 4.0...

I liked 2015 Wolf Picker quite a bit, and I'm not as into the IPAs and PAs as most of you (or most of my real life beer nerd friends). Don't remember getting any pepper, but I only had 1 or 2.

I like CC Mindbender. That's more of my style of IPA. No vegetation or dissolving tooth enamel.
It reminds me of some of the Mountain Sun IPAs.
