Toolbox doesn't distribute, although I have seen cases go to Mr. Ks. Typically it is brewery only but likely to expand as they keep expanding.

Council Beatitudes see small distribution, almost always available at the brewery.

I'd imagine a number of people suddenly have a doctors appointment or something come up that lets them leave work. People seem to have a lot of flexibility when it comes to making midday M-F releases.

in LA it seems like almost no one works sometimes. i think it's a lot of out-of-work actors, writers, musicians etc.. on any given day in my neighborhood a coffee shop will be filled to the brim with bearded hipsters settled in for the day with laptops

Everything I had on my last visit was so bad it will be a long time before I even buy online from them let alone stand in line. I do hope for the best for them because I love their tasting room but so far I've been really disappointed with their offerings.

Srsly agree. I wouldn't buy before trying based on their samples thus far. Broadacres, meh. Broadacres blueberry, blah. I know peaches and nectarines are magical unicorn tears, but... c'mon.

I really am rooting for them since, as you mentioned, the tasting room is great. There were only a couple of things I tried that I didn't like and a few things were just ok. I really liked the Muis bottles I bought and thought the Broadacres was a decent Berliner, but nothing special (I figured it would improve with some fruit added, but based on comments above, that might not be the case). I really like Lugosi, so have high hopes on those bottles when they're released. It would be great to have more so cal breweries who consistently put out quality wild ales, so hopefully they'll continue to dial it in. I also have been more impressed with the stuff I've tried from the Good Beer Co., and hope they'll continue to improve. Both of those breweries have been around for just about a year, so I'm giving them some slack (although, I thought both of the releases from Casa Agria were better than anything I've tried so far from either Good Beer or Phantom, so apparently it can be done right out of the gate!).

Yeah, I'm hoping for better stuff from Phantom, because it's a lot closer than Good and Casa Agria, both of whom I'm digging recently.
