Aviator Night Jump Imperial Stout

This is such a great beer. Drinking my second can right now and I gotta say, Aviator really nailed it with this one. Bourbon is pronounced but well blended in the flavor profile, nice mouthfeel and an incredibly well-hidden ABV. Do not pass this one up.

Absolutely worth a try if you haven't had it yet. Felt a little like a BCBS clone, but not quite as thick and syrupy.

Can't go anywhere these days without a baller ass stout on tap or coming out in bottles.

 

Having another tonight, really good beer. I don't know what shelves are looking like in the Triangle right now, but the Durham TW still had a few laying around on Saturday.

 

Fantastic beer. One of the better barrel aged stouts introduced this year. You'll find a pack or two still laying around in random bottle shops because the word isn't out yet on this one.

 

That would be one less 4-pack now. You guys peaked my curiosity.

I'll be giving this a go as soon as it cools off a bit later this week. To me anyway, BIG stouts just seem to taste better on cold nights.

 

This stout is amazing! I bought two four packs last week and I'm down to one!! Definitely a tone down if at all from BCBS, get it fast!

 

This has made me interested...especially because I have never had an Aviator beer that hasn't outright sucked. Especially their past BA stout. May have to find a can.

 

I'm in agreement that Aviator deserves alot of credit to this effort. I split a can with the better 1/2 last night and, as others have commented, I really felt there was alot of similarity with BCBS. Not an exact replica but definitely in the ballpark.
