I was at veeco this morn - got my 2 bottle limit @830 for 17.28 out the door. Only KBS. Hacienda had a line at opening and was sold out immediately but I think they may have some FBS left.

 

Fwiw I think veecos price is high- I only did it since I've never had kbs. Likely will never pay that much again

When Deep River bottles first came out Veeco put on IG that bottles came in. I drove there to pick up a few. I think I grabbed 3 or 4 @ 11.99ea. Before paying the guy asked if I want Pliny. I said sure. He asked how many. Just one. The Pliny bottle rang up at $11. That was the first and last time I'll make the trip to Veeco. They do have a lot of good bottle selections. But you will pay a bit more than other places.

 

yeah, I should have clarified that my KBS was dated 3/5/15... I think the FBS's if seen were more recent

 

Funny how places jack up prices. Was there and got "the last" kbs. Looked around and they had red poppy. Asked the price cause it wasn't marked. $18.99. Not the worst I have seen for it, but more than I wanted to spend.

 

So any Cognac or Rye Abyss in OC? Looks like I missed it at Total Wine Tustin.

 

What's the going price for a four pack and/or single of the Breakfast Stout from Founders? I saw one place had it for about 20 bucks, don't know if that's ridiculous or not.

 

I got my 4-packs from K&L a while back for around $12 and change.

 

While I was in Texas a four pack of FBS was 9 bucks

 

That was last Friday (second round I think) for Cognac at TWs (in HB at Tustin)

 

I just bought a four pack for 13 and change from a local liquor store. I got the last of 'em.

Man, these markups for KBS are ridiculous. I usually get them thrown in as extras for free and give them away (not a huge fan). Next time I get some any of you guys that like KBS can have them.

What are the prices? You can't just mention markups being ridiculous and not give out numbers!

 

I think a 4 pack in distro (ie not in CA) is like 14.99, I see shops selling SINGLE bottles for that price.

It really is a mediocre beer.

 

Did Founders slash prices? A 4-pack used to cost $19-$20 before.

 

Actually, you're right. It's 19.99 according to their last sale page.
