Love Armsby Abbey, their Stoutfest is the best. And want to talk about badass Mac n Cheese, best I've ever had.

This is great news as HF remains one of my favorite breweries, and Abner is one of the best beers I've ever had. Still not getting my hopes up for widespread (or low-key) availability. I'd love to see Edward or Everett make it out here, though.

I would assume Andre has a lot to do with it, especially this HF stuff.

That was my guess as well. He was the first person I can recall ever mentioning HF. He recognized they were something special very early.
Not getting hope up too far, but I'd love if this was a gateway to eventually getting bottles. Having simple 'ol George available would be pretty awesome.

Exactly. He's the one that introduced me to Hill. The second I heard he was heading to CSA, I had a tiny hope he would somehow make it happen.

I agree, Andre is the man and has done a phenomenal job at CSA. I can't think of another market that has a distributor that does what they do. I mean we've seen a lot of bizarro, small market beers (i.e. limited release Jackie O's, Boneyard, Fremont, Perennial, blah blah blah and now Hill Farmstead). It's like a great hits album of any beernerd's wet dream, but instead of traveling all over creation to try them, we get it all under one roof with CSA. Shit's crazy man.

Although Chad's close and long-lasting friendship with Shaun has probably the most to do with Hill Farmstead in CO. Shaun just doesn't let kegs go to anyone...

Crooked Stave comes into VT straight to Grassroots (Hill) without going through Shelton, I'd imagine it works the same in reverse.
We've had one batch of George and maybe two batches of Everett retail bottles available in stores in VT in the last year, and just a few cases per account... so don't get too excited.

Yeah, not a chance bottles see shelves here.

Any idea if they are handling Melvin? Andre always seemed obsessed with 2x4

Sounds like Powder Keg will have it on at their bottle release on Saturday.

Never short on awesome guest taps over there.

Assuming this will be saisons/dark beer only, or any word of hoppy stuff making its way out too? Pretty rad either way.

Just tried Dorothy at Black Bottle. It was really tasty and I pretty much hate saisons...

Btw- I think I like Black Bottle again... Their ginger red ale is better than I remember and now I'm drinking a RIS called thug life that smells just like old Rasputin (doesn't quite have the flavor, but it's dern good)
