Does anyone read the original post anymore? No one asked what beer you think is better, the OP asked what tastes like Heady.

yes I did. I'm saying those beers taste just as good and are somewhat similar. Now go to the bathroom and get you panties out of a bunch

It's funny seeing all the comparisons of 0 Dub. Although they are both fantastic, I think they are very different. 0 Dub is more of a malt forward IPA, leaning toward the old school.

The closest IPA that I've come across is Fair Maiden from Foley Brothers brewing in VT. Essentially a Heady clone that is pretty spectacular. I love Foley Brothers in general.

I just had a can of it I got in a trade. I didn't think it was that close to HT.

this is true. but Captains Daughter does suffer from quality issues from batch to batch.

FWIW I actually like Lawson's SOS better than Heady. Nicer mouthfeel and more of a malt presence.

Also with the OP being in PA, your best bet is to get your hands on some Neshaminny Creek Shape Of Hops To Come, as that is probably the closest thing to Heady that you will find locally.

Kane Head High and Carton 077XX in NJ are also fairly similar, but still no where as good as SOS or Heady.

I think the recent batches of bissel brothers swish is the only beer that I found similar to HT. Looking at the beer that others have listed here, sure they are just as good if not better, but not similar to heady. I have pretty much tried all the big IPAs new england has to offer and there just isn't anything out there that tastes like heady to me, but swish does remind me of it. I might have to do a side by side this week to test my theory.

Just picked up a 4-pack of it here in NY, man is it good. Might have to stop back at the shop to see if they have any left.

    Never had Heady.

All Singlecut ipas are ridiculous. On par with Trillium when fresh.

I thought bon bon was amazing, but the batch of half stack we got in CT a few weeks ago was sub-par IMO.

i believe kane is brewery only and kegs to bars. Cans of head high sold at brewery. Asbury Park area NJ.

Carton is distributed to most of NJ in can but only certain beers get distro. in taps, and at the brewery there's more options. I think NY gets limited distro in the city

Kane is now canning, but haven't seen it anywhere in North Jersey.

Carton has been canning for a while, but finding them before they are sold out is about as hard as finding Heady.

Both can be found on tap everywhere in NJ though, so thats a good thing.

Could you also "go to the bathroom" to "get you [sic] panties out of a bunch", and in the meantime point me to the part of your post where you discuss how similar your esteemed MA/ME IPAs are to Heady? All I see in your original post is fanboy spouting about breweries you think are just as good or better, ones that we have all been very familiar with for years.

Limited Access by Rock Art is my favorite Vermont Double IPA right now. Easily the best thing Rock Art has put out in a while. Twin Tips is also very, very good.
